I came to David after I was charged with my 2nd DWI. My first I take full responsibility for yet, my 2nd was a struggle to come to terms with. Not just with the hurt and struggle of putting my family through the ordeal for another go around but truthfully knowing there is no way I could handle anothe...r 2 years of my life owed again and indebted to Collin County - it is in my personal opinion the worst county in the nation for the severity of this charge. He is immensely detail oriented and if he went to Vegas I could without a doubt see him playing the best cards and shutting down the town. You want someone that is audacious, unwilling to compromise, and confident. Someone that goes in there and demands a response that he deserves to entertain. David was able to completely dismiss my case. I sincerely thank the lord and view this gift as an opportunity to share my story and not be another statistic yet, a role model in representation and show that the good still prevail and that you can get your life back. I made myself sick about going to trial yet, he literally kept me updated and I loved those random texts out of the blue with good news pertaining to my case. He dedicates his time to researching all factors and outlines the best defense. I will always hold a special place in my heart for what David Burrows has done for me and would never hesitate to recommend him for anyone that finds themselves in the same place I have been. I could tell David was a seasoned pro by his calming demeanor and professionalism. The process takes time and David kept me informed and calm. Wow where do I even start with David. I choose David because he is truly the best in town! I am not saying this, but evidence based research I conducted prior to hiring him says it. I did not see how great he was till our actual trial...he was on fire!! He shut down the prosecution (District Attorney...)!!! He left me speechless, the prosecution scrambling and the jury in awe. I am a medical student so having a DWI on record is a serious concern. I am more than thankful to have chosen David to represent me. A little about my case, I was found by the cops, sleeping in my parked car with the ignition running in Dallas County. I had a BAC twice the legal limit. We went to trial 10 months later and after a 4-5 hour nail biting trial, the jury ruled Not Guilty. There was an in-car video that surfaced on the morning of the trial that took us by surprise. We had the option of either resetting or going through with the trial that day. We decided to go through with the trial that day and David with less than 1 hour, reviewed the video and used it to our advantage, further weakening the prosecution. I am still in awe! If I could describe David in one word, it would be: effective. When I first came to David I was extremely downcast about my case; I had been arrested for a DWI, and to make matters worse I had provided proof that I was guilty by blowing in a Breathalyzer. David immediately put me at ease. Just walkin...g into his office gave me hope- there were literally hundreds of thank you cards along his hall that were from cases that he won. To make a long story short, David got my charge of a DWI DROPPED to a lesser charge, with one year of NON-REPORTING probation. During the whole process, I was never worried about anything. I was recently hired as a teacher, but because my probation was still in effect I was going to be deemed as ineligible.
