William David Burrows

I found myself in the unfortunate and scary situation of needing a lawyer. I did quite a bit of research and came across David. I was charged with a DWI and open container, i had a .247 BAC, this is my first time being in trouble with the law and in the works of finishing up school with a criminal justice degree and wanting to pursue a career in the legal field I had to make sure I had the best lawyer to represent me through... this case. I was referred by a co-worker to Mr. Burrows after he had an amazing experience with Mr. Burrows. My first time calling Mr. Burrows, personally answered and had a personable conversation. During my consultation he listened to my side of the story went over the police report advised me what my BAC and let me know that Texas law states a BAC over .15 is automatically a breathalyzer but he will try to fight it. Finally he called me after one of the hearings letting me know that one of the prosecutors agreed to no breathalyzer in my vehicle, and only 15 months of probation and had me come in to court the next day to sign off to the plea bargain. The judge agreed to no breathalyzer, Mr. Burrows also requested my surcharges be dropped due to my financial situation and the judge dropped the surcharges as well. In May 2017, I was sleep driving (DWI) at 2 am, totaled my SUV and was arrested at hospital. I contacted Mr. Burrows on Monday and made an appointment to review my case. Would I recommend David Burrows to represent other people in DWI cases? The simple answer is yes based on my "Not Guilty" verdict in a complicated case in Collin county. But there is more... I had several lawyers in my life. You do not have to be a criminal person but you may still need a lawyer ...to handle complicated matters. All of the lawyers I had before did not want to waste their time listening for the details I thought are relevant. All of them - but not David. He went an extra mile, spent tremendous amount of his time to listen attentively to all things I thought are important.
