Very Happy!

I was being charged with a class c misdemeanor, I found Mr King and am so appreciative that I did! He really fought hard for me and my future. He was always there if I was nervous or had a question and I had alot! He was able to have my case reduced to a class B and even have it expunged by completin...g a program. Thank you so much for helping me and caring about my future!

I was very happy that my office could get this result for you and wish you all the best in the future! For future readers of this review, there is an important mixup that needs to be clarified: The reviewer mistakenly wrote they were charged with a Class C which was reduced to a Class B, but the opposite occurred. The reviewer was actually charged with a Class B misdemeanor and looking at up to 180 days in jail with up to $2000 fine. After reviewing the evidence and negotiating with the District Attorney's Office, the charge was reduced to a Class C citation with a very small fine. For reference, parking and speeding tickets are considered Class C citations.

more than just a defense attorney

ryan king is a man who is a lot of things; he is genuine, honest, intelligent, caring, & passionate. my name is addy & i was charged with a felony drug possession for a c1 substance- >1g =<4g, heroin; facing 2-10 years in a state prison. the situation was grim, the charge was from a car accident from... early 2019 where my ex &i argued while drunk, drove a car through a house & were taken to the er but while impounding, my car they found the drugs. i was charged a few months later & knew that i didn't just need a lawyer, i needed a miracle worker. i interviewed thoroughly & eventually met with ryan to discuss a consultation, the details of the case, & he was taken by surprise when i asked him "what qualifies you to be my lawyer, or why should i choose you to represent me?" ryan turned red; but to answer for him, he graduated from YALE LAW, has years of experience working in the DAs office knowing the manner in which every case is approached, understands the system inside & out working relentlessly to always under any circumstance find the best case scenario time & time again. but one thing that wasn't mentioned in ryan's "qualifications" for being a defense attorney was that he is the single most incredible, caring, genuinely invested people i was ever going to meet. a role model that i didn't realize i needed, ryan went above and beyond in every way possible; spending hours on a sunday evening before his family christmas party, making hour long phone calls when i messed up the perfect situation -failing a drug test in the first few weeks of my probation risking my expulsion from a program, or just giving genuine advice & counsel when i was facing major depression & battling through my addiction in early recovery. Through working on my case; ryan proved he was the perfect & only person that could've successfully gotten me to where i am now. on valentines day when i was on my way to buy drugs instead of staying at home, ryan called me & told me the consequences, the stakes, and exactly what i needed to hear which truly was the only thing that talked me out of using & make a real step towards recovery. in our journey ryan worked every angle, every possibility, & kept me aware of the circumstances & situation through every step of the process without once misleading me, hiding anything from me, & found the single best case scenario for my situation every time. I am currently the 2nd person to be accepted from the new Collin county district attorney opioid relief program; a super specialized program for non-violent drug offenders that are given a second chance by being provided the resources & accountability to get their life together. a 15 month program involving MAT & hours of therapy, drug screens, & the ability to have your charges expunged. it was a dream come true, knowing that i would by no chance be accepted into the diversion program, ryan still FOUND a way to get the results i so desperately needed by putting his relationships with the DAs office, his creative approach & problem solving skills, & his perseverance to always be 10 steps ahead preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. instead of a convicted felon i am a full-ride scholarship student at the university of Texas at dallas studying cognitive neuroscience, in substance abuse therapy which helps me work towards a long term recovery, & slowly turning into the person ryan always saw in me even when i didnt see it in myself. a few months ago i was depressed & suicidal facing the consequences to my actions but today i am hopeful, content, & proud of how far i am come from being an opioid addict for the last 3 years. i used to believe that this was the worst thing that ever happened to me but now i realize that through meeting ryan and the direction my life has taken, this turned into the best thing that has happened to me. ryan is more than just a defense attorney, he is the best lawyer and person i have met. words can't describe ryan, but "heaven sent" works
