Took my money and did nothing

I worked so hard on my own to navigate the child support system and fought on my own until it became clear I needed help. He took my money, did nothing, and let the warrant lapse. He repeatedly told me he would call me back and never did. He repeatedly made it sound like he knew what he was doing som...ething, but from what I can tell he did nothing. I’m out so much money, the custody was never handled, the warrant and case dropped, and now I have to start all over. Still no return call from him.

Ex Cient NOT Happy

Scott was really sincere at the beginning. I had to pay my retainer fee upfront $3300 that was going 3 different places to borrow money so he would represent me. Went to court for temp orders for my child didn't go well.. We left there him saying I hate to loose lets get together with your family and... get some plans going and do your inventory at home. Talked a few times that was in July.. told me several times I have talked to your ex's attorney blah blah, I'm gonna do this and go here and check on HIS business blah blah... did NOTHING! THEY NEVER HEARD FROM HIM LIKE HE WAS TELLING ME. My husband told my best friend we had a court date is how I knew about it for temporary orders til divorce trial. He didn't show and I didn't cause I knew nothing about it so my name was signed electronically. Still til this day 1/12/15 after leaving voicemail, text and messages with receptionist, email and a sent letter after reporting him to the Board haven't heard. I told him he owed me a refund of something since it shows only $326 on our case online.. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!! Would not refer him to my worse enemy IF I had one...

So grateful

I have to admit I was a complete wreck during my divorce and Mr. Marquardt was amazing. Whenever I reached out to him day or night he was there for me, answering the million questions I had and calming me down whenever I got upset. The outcome was the outcome, I mean it's divorce after all, but i...t really made a difference that he was genuinely concerned for me and acted in the best interest of my family. If you want an attorney that really cares about his clients, call Mr. Marquardt, you won't be disappointed.

Be VERY careful

The day I paid Scott his full dues, he disappeared BEFORE completing my case, and is nowhere to be found to this day (been 8 months). I had to hire another lawyer to tend to my legal case. When I called Scott the very first time he was very friendly and responsive and as soon as the contract was s...igned he started to ignore my calls, emails, and voicemails. The only time he would contact me would be the night before the court dates and show up to the court with no prep work. Be very cautious about this person.
