I feel so lucky and privileged to have had Mr. Cia Kamalipour represent myself in my Social Security Hearing held on July 21, 2015. I was simply amazed at the amount of work he put into my case prior to contacting me. About a month before my hearing, he called to introduce himself and to set up set u...p a block of time in which he would call me by phone and would advise and provided me with the knowledge I would need so we could proceed with my case. He advised we would need to speak about an hour and a half on the phone so he could prepare me for the hearing. About a week later, he called me on the time we agreed and covered the proceeding from start to finish. He explained there would be five people in the room, it would be an informal proceeding and he advised what each individuals role would play in the hearing. Cia went over the questions he would ask me as well as some of the questions the judge might ask. He explained in detail how the flow of the hearing would progress so there would be no surprised and I would be prepared and know what to expect and how and when to address the judge. On the day of the hearing, we met at the Federal Building about an hour before the hearing. We went into a private office and went over the proceedings once more. Cia also confirmed certain important facts he wanted to impress on the judge. I have approximately 1,500 pages in medical records and have had eight major procedures since 2013. He also prepared me to be direct and concise when giving my answers to the judge. When we entered the judge’s chambers, I felt totally confident and prepared for the hearing. It went exactly as he described. The hearing was about 35 minutes, 10 minutes shorter than expected. After the hearing was over, Cia and I left the judges area and went back into a private office. He expressed to me he thought the hearing went well and believed we had a very good case. He explained the reasons why and some of the language used in the hearing I had never heard.
