Maria Eugenia Macias was born to Mexican immigrants from Guanajuato, Mexico. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from Baylor University, and a law degree from DePaul University College of Law. While in law school, Maria Eugenia was part of an Asylum and Immigration Law Clinic that inspired her work in the immigration law field. She also studied international law at Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain, and at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Prior to founding her own practice, Maria Eugenia worked as a supervising attorney at local non-profit organizations for five years. Maria Eugenia manages a diverse caseload that includes family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, naturalization, asylum, adjustment of status, consular processing, removal proceedings, and federal litigation. She has substantial practical experience in nearly every facet of federal immigration laws, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Maria Eugenia is a frequent speaker in the community, where she discusses legal options and topics that affect the immigrant community. Groups that Maria Eugenia has spoken to include the North Dallas Bar Association, North East Tarrant County Bar Association, Texas Wesleyan University, and numerous organizations, churches and schools.
