State Bar had him permanently disbarred. Stole from several clients.

My story is much too lengthy for this site, but long story short, I lost custody of my son to his father (whom CPS had previously found to be abusive), AND was ordered to pay $4500 of my ex's attorneys fees due to Aaron Bitter's neglect. Had to file with the state bar and a yr and a half later I stil...l pay my ex $100 a month, barely see my son, and will have to go through the entire nightmare that is a custody battle all over again someday. This 2 1/2 yr case (much too long for a case like mine) became so stressful that I ended up in the hospital a couple of times for what I thought was seizures and now realize were insanely intense panic attacks. He didn't show to several scheduled appointments, nor did he show to my hearings, and in the end I had to represent myself (I am a fairly intelligent person and trust me, intelligence and know-how won't get you anywhere if you end up with a judge like mine that holds it against people that come in and try to represent themselves). As you can see I am still dealing with the post traumatic stress years later, all because of an attorney that claimed to care and couldn't even DO HIS JOB, let alone have compassion for anyone he was representing. Fortunately several months ago a judge heard mine and several other of Aaron's previous clients' cases and awarded us our money back and ordered that Aaron be permanently disbarred. He is officially no longer an attorney (thank God) but a lady at the State Bar informed me that he is appealing the court's decision.

lacking follow-up skills

Aaron, represented me on my 1st case to have child support arrears removed, and that was done. 2nd case another $1500 he was hired to help me give up parental rights for a child that is not mine. Upon giving him the $1500 on a Saturday he assured me that he would go to DAllas and file the case for ...me on Wed. guess what nine months later Aaron has my $1500 and no case has been file. He never returns calls, I finally got him on the phone 1 day and he had a million excuses for the filing my case. Gave him the benefit of the boubt and 3 months later here I am again still has not filed my case. I have released Aaron from my case because obviously he doesn't care. I went to his office and demanded my files and a full refund. Well I sat there till I got my files so that my new attorney can file my case finally. I demanded my money back, he advised me that it was in a trust fund that he would mail it to me in a couple of days, so I demanded a letter in writing since you can't trust this attorney. when I did a follow-up to make sure he put it in the mail, of course he said yes. Well guess what a week-in-a-half has gone by and my refund is still not here. it only takes 2days to get mail from Denton to Dallas county. So please beware, he has really made this a bad experience, please beware! I will have to file grievance on this attorney to get my money back, why is he making it so hard when he already gave me a letter stating he was going to refund the $1500 and that he put it in the mail.......so sad. please beware!

I hired Aaron Bitter to replace my first attorney

I am extremely happy with the work Aaron Bitter has done on my child custody case. I have recently won full custody of my 3 children when my previous attorney said it couldn't be done. Luckily, I happened to hear fom a friend who used Aaron before so I decided to have a consultation from him to get a... second opinion. From the very beginning he believed in my case and advised my of all the problems we might encounter. I truly appreciate his work and wish I could have used him from the beginning.
