My experience with Dana Stewart

I hired Dana to handle my divorce. It was a fairly straight forward divorce, with no minor children involved. I was comfortable with Dana as soon as we spoke, and continued to grow in confidence as we moved forward. My former wife's attorney was a train wreck, and by contrast, I had made a great c...hoice. Dana was able to offer the resources of other outstanding professionals, including his paralegal, a pension expert, and a very good accountant referral. I would strongly recommend that you speak with Dana if you need legal help.

Dana Stewart is the most incredible attorney!

Dana helped me with a long overdue parent-child custody modification and child support. He is intelligent, patient and communicates clearly. I was never left in doubt as to what were the next steps, it was clearly defined and communicated by Dana. He handled my somewhat complicated case by providi...ng the truth, potential outcomes and options for me to review and decide upon. I would recommend Dana to anyone seeking a strong, ethical, intelligent attorney. He exceeded all of my expectations.

Amazing attorney!

My husband and I hired Dana for a family law case. From the moment we first spoke with him, we knew he was the perfect fit for our case. He always stayed in contact and did a fantastic job. I know I was emotional and probably difficult to deal with at times. I know there were frustrating times for al...l of us. Dana always kept his composure and reassured me that everything would be okay, even if it didn’t feel like it would be at the time. The judge signed our orders yesterday, and although it was a huge sigh of relief, I will miss Dana. I don’t think most people say they would miss their attorney. Haha But, in our case...he wasn’t “just our attorney”. He became my confidant, the person who kept me sane through a very trying process, and someone we will never forget. Denise, his paralegal, is also amazing! Thank you for everything you guys have done for us, we know it wasn’t easy.

Outstanding Attorney for High-Conflict, Non-Compliant, Parental Alienation Cases

I found Dana Stewart through my Family Mediation Instructor whom I much admired. Dana is very passionate about helping people who are going through on of the worst times in their life. My daughter was taken from me under false accusations and I had not seen her for years. I needed someone who could ...help me paint a clear picture of what was truly going on from a very non-compliant alienating co-parent who was abusing the judicial system while the courts were figuring out what was going on. I have worked with Dana and his diligent paralegal Denise since 2015. To boil down years of great advisement, support, and many complex orders; these characteristics are what shine about this exceptional attorney and his paralegal: • His personal experience shines through his compassion and tenacity for working hard by keeping you in the loop as much as humanly possible. And if he’s tied up, his paralegal Denise will fill you in. • He explains things well and adjusts to ensure your significant other understands too. He is excellent at redirecting or offer reasoning so both of you feel confident moving forward or are able to get on the same page. • He is forthright and respects that the process is costly for you. He will tell you the options and how effective they might be comparative to the cost and time required. He will even tell you to not use him and go another route if it might settle the case or be resolved outside litigation. • He is very professional amongst difficult opposing counsel but will be tirelessly firm and assertive when it’s clear his client is getting pushed around. His quick reaction time in court for unexpected maneuvers helped us to keep the most leverage to turn things around. • His paralegal, Denise Alberino, was always informed and quick to relay his status. She was instrumental in keeping us calm and reassured in between waiting for court to reconvene or assisting him with his notes during court proceedings. I am certain she was a big part of why many procedures or paper work was turned around quickly and efficiently. In the past, I have had a very good attorney with very poor staff which definitely impacted my level of stress while handling such a high-conflict case. • Dana’s excellent rapport with professionals in the Collin County and Dallas sphere ensured we connected with excellent counselors and professionals to facilitate needs for our case. Accomplishments: • Attained a Reunification Counselor for mother and daughter to be reunited and remove alienated behavior. Eventually, all fees were to be paid by co-parent. • Created several agreements to ensure compliance of previous agreements where non-compliance resulted in the repayment of legal fees, financial responsibility of all Parent Facilitation Fees, and non-compliance fees. • Implemented a requested designated third counselor for non-compliant co-parent to see to help resolve high conflict behavior. • Won motions of enforcement of severe non-compliance resulting in jail time. • Fulfilled client’s wishes to create a detailed step-down program limiting time with alienated child to ensure compliance and healthy behavior before more litigation would occur. • Created several large detailed orders per client’s wish to create enforceable consequences for non-compliant behavior. • Assisted client in creating a final order that helps avoid being constantly in and out of court. So much of your life, money, time, and stress goes into this process. I wanted to give another person going through such a difficult time the chance to have a thorough review to make such an important decision. To this day, we keep aside money so we can retain Dana if we are ever in need of him. He is one of the best choices we ever made in this process and is a true credit to his firm and the standard of excellence they uphold.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"I have known Dana for over 10 years, and we worked at the same family law firm for about five years before I went to law school. During that time, I learned so much from him, not just about family law, but also about handling cases with integrity and thoughtfulness. Dana holds himself to the highest ethical standards. I have referred opposing parties to him because I know that he will be fair and reasonable, and I respect his legal positions. I had the opportunity to attend a 3-day trial with Dana when we worked together. He took a case that seemed absolutely hopeless and won on every issue. Legal professionals refer their family, friends, and clients to him. If I needed to hire a family law attorney for myself, he would be my first call. I endorse Dana without reservation."
