Mary Coones

I am a Sherman native. I have lived the very large majority in my life in Sherman. I have also lived in Austin, Irving, Pilot Point, and now, Bells.

After graduating from the University of Texas, at Austin, I worked for 2 years. My first job, out of college, was as an assistant front desk manager, at a hotel, in Dallas. In my second year after graduation, I worked at a personal injury law firm. This was when my passion for fighting for the rights of the injured began to grow.

Over the next 3 years, I attended law school in Fort Worth, while working in Sherman. I put myself through law school, while I continued to work as a legal assistant. I worked with clients from all over the Texoma area.

After I graduated from law school, I worked as a personal injury attorney, at a firm in Dallas, for 6 years. I worked with personal injury clients from Dallas, McKinney, Plano, Richardson, and the Panhandle.

For the last 6 years, I worked at a firm out of Amarillo. I worked with clients from New Mexico, Amarillo, Dalhart, Pampa, and again, all over the Panhandle.

After almost 20 years of working with some amazing attorneys, it is time to strike out on my own. Besides fighting for the rights of the injured, I am a wife, mommy, Sunday school teacher, and group fitness instructor. I am passionate about helping people and I want to help you!
