Manuel Everest Gonzalez IV

Manuel “Mito” Gonzalez has worked in the criminal justice system over three years, first prosecuting, then defending blue-collar and white-collar crimes. A West-Texas native from the city of Odessa, Mito has always known he wanted to practice law. From an early age, he developed a passion for fairness, equality, and most importantly, educating people about their legal rights.

Mito’s experience as a former misdemeanor prosecutor, chief misdemeanor prosecutor, felony prosecutor, chief felony prosecutor, appellate prosecutor, juvenile prosecutor, and white-collar division chief has enabled him to take a bold, calculated, and strategic approach to each individual case. With an unparalleled collection of skills and real-world experience in the courtroom, he has consistently achieved successful case outcomes, including numerous “Not Guilty” verdicts.

Mito’s list of accomplishments includes becoming one of the youngest attorneys to be Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Criminal Law, a certification he has maintained since 2000. He has served in numerous positions on the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association board and also as the Collin County Bar Association’s Juvenile Board. He spends a great deal of his time mentoring new and aspiring criminal defense attorneys.

In his free time, Mito enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and watching Texas football.
