When others fell through, Scott Palmer broke down impossible walls!!!

Our review is for this law firm, but it is also written to any anyone desperately searching to find an attorney. We have been there, and it is an awful place to be especially if your child is in jail. We were referred to Scott Palmer by a friend. Our son had already been in jail for months being held... on extremely high bond and getting nowhere with pretrial mitigations. Scott Palmer and Rebekah Perlstein stepped into our awful mess and began to unravel his case. Whenever we had a question, he responded immediately everytime and this was priceless to us. They changed direction from the course we were on, made a solid plan, stuck to that plan, fought and never quit pushing on the “system”, and today they knocked down the Walls of Jericho! Our son is coming home!!! When the court day finally came, Scott was using a walker because of a recent serious knee surgery. This didn’t slow the POWERHOUSE down! The passion of this firm exits because of Scott Palmer! Add Rebekah Perlstein, the more undramatic, methodically logical counterpart and the duo is magical. We are forever grateful and if you are reading this, just don’t go anywhere else. Trust them: they will be your greatest ally. We are eternally thankful!

From 1st Degree Felony to Misdemeanor with no Conviction

Scott Palmer and Brady Wyatt are fantastic lawyers, and saved me from terrible and ineffectual representation that could have permanently ruined my life. In 2017, I was arrested on a charge for first-degree felony manufacturing of methamphetamine. I had no criminal record. The search was possibly ill...egal, and I was under treatment for bipolar disorder at the time. It seemed at the very least that there were mitigating circumstances, but when you are in jail, you don’t have a lot of control over the lawyer you get, whether it’s someone your parents scramble to pay or someone the court provides. For 18 months, I was represented by a terrible lawyer who seemed out of his league, who didn’t get the system, and sometimes forgot to tell me about court dates. My case lingered on and on, and my life was at a standstill. In May 2018, I was put in contact with Scott Palmer and Brady Wyatt who convinced me to fire my old lawyer and hire them. It was an expensive decision, but it was one of the best I ever made. Within four months, Scott and Brady negotiated the dismissal of my first degree felony charge, and a pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of less than one gram with no conviction after 2-years probation. I was facing 10 years or more in prison and now I have my life and my future back. Scott and Brady and very savvy about the Texas court system. They know people, and know how to get the best deals for their clients. Don’t waste your time and money with ineffectual lawyers better suited for DUIs. Scott and Brady will help you get your life back on track.

If you call anyone other than Scott Palmer you’re a fool.

How many times have you heard “That attorney should charge more”? I can honestly say that about Scott. The worst morning of my life began with the FBI knocking on my door. We called Scott and another attorney immediately. The other attorney charged me $250 just to talk. Scott listened to our situatio...n at no charge and when the FBI returned at 8pm to kick the door in it was Scott who immediately took my case and began working. He was direct and remained calm through months of back and forth. His strategy was top notch and his advice was impeccable. He handled my case and got everything dismissed. I have spoken with others who had cases similar to my own and not one of them received the level of communication and service that Scott Palmer provided. He will let you know what is happening and what to expect next. I never felt like just a number with Scott. It felt like talking with a guy who wanted to make sure me and my family were cared for. This is the level of service you get with Scott Palmer. If I had to describe Scott in one way it would be: born fighter. Scotty is a fighter through and through. He refuses to give any ground...the other side has to take it and then prove why they took it. He earned every single dime we gave. Scott is not cheap, but I dare you to say he over charged you once your case is complete. You won’t. You’ll sound just like me “You know...that Scotty fellow should really charge more”.

Awesome guy!

I hired Scott after going into a consultation. He was super cool and I felt much better after talking to him about my situation! I was currently on probation for dwi. While on probation for the dwi I was arrested for public intoxication. Getting arrested is a violation of my probation even though I d...on't have any alcohol provisions. During the consultation he was very helpful in giving me information on what would happen when the court finds out I violated probation. Without him the court would most likely put a warrant out for my arrest, added more time to my 9 months, made me do more community service, more alcohol classes, or the worst being revoking my probation completely. I am already lucky enough to be on deferred ajudication for obstruction of a passageway instead of a dwi and once I complete my probation it goes off my record! I could not mess this up! So Scott went and talked to my judge who he knows very well and told him about my violation. Thankfully Scott is on very good terms with this judge because this judge is very strict when It comes to messing up on probation. He was able to negotiate that the only provisions added to my probation be no drinking for 60 days and I still work to complete my original provisions. No extended probation, no other classes, nothing else! Awesome!!! No drinking for 60 days being the only added provision after messing up as bad as I did is very good! I am glad I hired Scott because he saved me big time! Now i get to complete my original deffered adjudication probation! I would hate to have been on probation any longer! Scott and his team were very professional. He's a very stand up guy, no BS, honest and answers all my questions and text messages immediately. He is confident and ready to help anybody the best he can 110%! I would highly recommend him for anything!

Not-Guilty

“You have enemies? Good. That means you have stood up for something, sometime in your life.” - Sir Winston Churchill Greetings!! After 27+ months, countless futile trips to the Tarrant County Courthouse, thousands of dollars, lost sleep, false accusations, refusals to validate my state of... mourning, etc. It’s finally OVER. It took the jury 45 minutes or so to unanimously move for acquittal. Ye Ha!!! (Happy Dance Inserted Here) To quote Tom Petty - "I stood my ground and I won’t (didn’t) back down." It is so relieving and healing to have this off my shoulders and to be able to move past this horrible event and be validated for what I have known all along. I am innocent. First, I would like to extend my most humble heart felt and enormous gratitude to my attorneys, Mr. Scott Palmer and Ms. Rebekah Perlstein. A seriously potent pair - the Paragon of Justice exemplified. To quote MC Hammer - “You Can’t Touch This!” Me - "Really! You can’t." Ms. Rebekah, when I grow-up I want to be just like you. Your intelligence, knowledge of the law and proper procedure was superb. Your use of words was imperceptible to your prey and they never saw you coming around for the kill. The real estate controlled by you in the Courtroom was stunning. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Mr. Scott, I think Ms. Rebekah’s nickname should be “Velo,” short for Velociraptor. ;-) Scott, what can I say? I’ve pissed you off (don’t lie) and you’ve pissed me off, yet you SO had my back (like my orthotics) ;-). I apologize for each and every offensive word spoken or left unspoken by me. At the end of the day, you were spot-on. You kept me focused, refused to let me digress, and in Court, you used the phrase, “Red Herring.” An aha moment for me. What a perfect analogy to describe my thoughts of how month after month, I was required to appear in Court, and how month after month on end I was sent home without the satisfaction of being allowed to tell my story. With flawed thinking, I failed to include you or your practice as feeling the same deflation as myself. In that, you too were experiencing the same missed opportunity to advocate on my behalf. Another apology I owe to you. The first time we met you seemed intrigued and wanted to know more. You asked pointed and direct questions. You expected the truth from me and would not accept less. After collecting and viewing the videos amply supplied by the very Police who arrested and charged me, you became more entrenched in the truth and a staunch advocate of my innocence. Tenacious to a fault, you never gave up on me or kicked me under the bus. You’d say get your “s_ _ t” together, get some sleep, and let’s go get ‘em. Your abilities as both a counselor and litigator are nothing short of sterling; as well, your palpable presence in the courtroom was compelling, engaging, and frightening (if I were on the opposing side). I was so happy that you were on MY SIDE. With heart, intelligence, compassion, power, fearlessness, fortitude, and presence you owned the Courtroom in its entirety, from curb to curb. Thank you is not a strong enough phrase to express everything I want to convey, but I believe you understand me enough to “cut to the chase.” :-)
