Biography
GENERAL: I celebrated my 50th year as an Oklahoma attorney in 2012. I focused on insurance defense for the first half of my practice before switching my practice to the plaintiffs’ side, so I have seen insurance law from both sides. Most of my practice comes from referrals from my fellow attorneys, mainly on tougher cases involving insurance coverage and personal injury litigation.
TEACHING: I have served Oklahoma attorneys and legal assistants as an adjunct professor since 1986. I have taught Insurance Law and Conflicts of Law at the University of Oklahoma College of Law since 1994. I also taught Insurance Law and Advanced Torts at Oklahoma City University School of Law from 1993-2010, and Insurance Law in the Legal Assistant Program at the University of Oklahoma College of Law from 1986-1992. In addition to O.U. law classes, I present continuing legal education (CLE) courses for the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma Association for Justice, and various other legal and bar groups on subjects related to uninsured/underinsured motorist law, torts and insurance law, and professional responsibility.
