Our experience in almost every aspect of the private practice industry, and our history of working with diverse business interests and cultures, provides an expansive solid foundation for professional services, narrowed to a pin-point, personal dedication to our client's goals, and peace of mind.
Mr. Goodin is a native of Okmulgee, and currently resides in Moore, with his wife Erin. Matthew and Erin have five children, and attend St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Goodin is a folkstyle, freestyle and greco-roman wrestling coach, certified through USA Wrestling NCEP (Bronze) and the National Federation of State High School Associations (Certified Interscholastic Coach). He currently serves as USA Wrestling’s Safe Sport Coordinator for the state of Oklahoma, and as a board member of OKUSA Wrestling. Mr. Goodin also volunteers for Make-A-Wish and the Saint Vincent De Paul Society, and he is a member of the Knights of Columbus. He has served on the board of directors of a private school, and numerous corporations, and frequently offers pro bono consultations to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations.
Mr. Goodin and his family all volunteer and support the City Rescue Mission, in Oklahoma City. Mr. Goodin’s wife, Erin, is the President and CEO of City Rescue Mission, which is Oklahoma’s largest faith-based, nonprofit homeless shelter and drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Goodin was a Senior Tax Auditor in the Income Tax Division, and later a Field Agent for the Oklahoma Tax Commission. As a Field Agent, Mr. Goodin enjoyed working with the owners of all newly established businesses, educating the owners about their legal obligations and verifying their operations and tax compliance. When Mr. Goodin began practicing law, he was a partner in a small general practice firm, and later transitioned to a firm that specialized in all aspects of bankruptcy proceedings, representing debtors, creditors and interested parties, both individuals and businesses, as well as representing a Chapter 7 panel Trustee. Mr. Goodin's bankruptcy experience includes Chapter 7 cases, Chapter 13, Chapter 11 business reorganizations, and Chapter 12 family farms.
Our office is located in a historic landmark school building, the Old School Business Center. The building was originally construction in 1927, and reconstructed a year later after almost burning to the ground. There are rumors that the building is haunted! In the 1980's the school was sold to private owners, and the classrooms were redesigned into offices and for other unique purposes. Most of the original fixtures remain in tact, and the halls are decorated with the original class composites. Its a great home for us and we always enjoy showing our visitors around the old school.
