No good

Never finished helping us. Just took our money. She called and said she wanted to make it right but she ghosted us again. Shame on her for doing this to our family. I hope she never does it again.

Conflicts Shinanigans

Rhonda had done work for me in other cases prior to the fall out I had with her. She seemed to care and do fine work helping resolve my issues. She really became a shyster and out right dishonest with how she would handle a case concerning an advocate role I was for immigrint who was tricked by Ms.... McCauley and worse lied to by Rhonda. She also wrote my client a nast letter and tried to destroy our relationship as partners in advocating her case. Very unprofessional excuses as to why she had not updated the client about her dates and case info. She was a horrible disgrace to the confidence I had placed in my relationship with her. I had promoted her to this individual, my friend, I secured a contract for her as a advocate, it was so upsetting, I involved her at all. So whatever it is that made her so out right negligent to our case is her personal conflicts. Another attorney had to take over the case. It was a mess. Also, it appear she didn't want our mutual client to be sucessful in her endeavor with a lawsuit, we asked her to file. She had huge conflicts but didn't mention anything and made her services a sham. I would not hire her for any legal woes, it will only get worse for you if she touches your case. She makes excuses and blames others for her negligents, and is likely all a game for her. I caught her time and time again using her cute little girl voice to tell me lies.

Nonperforming Unethical

We hired Rhonda and paid $3,700 upfront as required. She never answered or returned our calls. Never attended scheduled appointments. Closed both Fort Smith and Rogers offices. We sued her and prevailed in court. She appealed and we prevailed again. She appealed to the State Supreme Court and we prev...ailed. She couldn't even prepare for her own trial. She hadn't filed taxes for the last 3 years. She didn't pay franchise taxes and had her corporate charter revoked. Does this sound like the attorney you want to be there when your loved one is out of the country at an embassy needing immediate assistance? We hired another attorney and were successful at last.

Very happy! Very thankful toward Mrs McCauley and her staff!!

I have hired Mrs. Rhonda McCauley for my permanent residency application first and some years after for my naturalization. And in both cases I am really very happy with the outcome and for having hired Mrs McCauley! First Mrs McCauley is an expert in her field. She is very knowledgeable and has a lot... of experience in her specialty. Secondly, and it's also very important, She and her team have your case "at heart". They believe in what they are doing, they are compassionate people, helpful and supportive. And this is very important when you go through an immigration process that can be long and difficult. Thank you very much Mrs McCauley and to all your staff!!!

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2019.

Reprimand issued in AR, 2019

updated on 09/04/2020

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Caution issued in AR, 2012

updated on 08/07/2015

A caution means that an attorney did something wrong, but may still practice law. The attorney was cautioned in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior. Details of the infraction are made part of the public record.

Rhonda’s comment:

“The discipline carried a fine of $50 which indicates that this was not considered to be a terribly serious offense. I was unable to prove that I had provided a copy of the Board of Immigration Appeals decision to my client, though it was my contention that they were provided a copy in person. They were not eligible to remain in the U.S. at the time I was hired, but I was able to mitigate their situation over about five years of essentially pro bono representation.”
