Marianne Hudson graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1989 and began working at the Public Defender’s Office the day after she received her bar results. She served as Chief Deputy for Washington and Madison County and then Managing Attorney for the Northwest Arkansas Conflicts Office, covering Washington, Madison, Benton, Carroll, Sebastian, and Crawford Counties.
She began her legal career in juvenile court, where she represented minors in delinquency, FINS, and dependent-neglect cases. This came to be one of her most rewarding areas of law and continues to be part of her private practice. She later practiced in District Court and Circuit Court where she defended people charged with various types of crimes ranging from Hot Checks to Capital Murder.
Ms. Hudson is a state certified Domestic Relations and Probate Attorney Ad Litem and a state certified Dependent-Neglect Attorney Ad Litem.
She has extensive experience with jury trials and many of her cases resulted in a not guilty verdict, including clients accused of Rape, Battery, and Terroristic Threatening.
Ms. Hudson is also one of the few attorneys in Northwest Arkansas to be state certified to represent people facing the death penalty.
