Jason Files is a highly skilled an awesome attorney
Mr. Files represented me as the defendant and custodial parent in my paternity, custody, and child support case. I found him to be patient, collected, thorough, and attentive in his legal counsel. He was quick to respond to my emails when needed. I always felt that he was on my team. He is not one of these lawyers who will fill my head with what I wanted to hear just to make a buck, but what I needed to hear to be reasonably prepared for this process. I found him to be very rational, honest and upfront. In the end he helped to represent my position with the judge regarding my ability to protect my child from her father's alcoholism and general unfitness while still allowing for an opportunity for him to have the healthiest possible relationship with her as I requested. His thoughtful counsel and representation earned us a very satisfactory final ruling to meet my family's needs despite having three different judges presiding over our case.
I represent clients in federal and state courts. I am currently on the CJA panel for the Eastern District of Arkansas. I formerly acted as prosecuting attorney for the Cities of Wrightsville and Alexander as well.
I have handled all manner of divorce cases for the last 19 years. This includes the initial divorce, as well as post-divorce issues such as changes of custody.
27 years
I concentrate my practice on helping people with their estate planning. After two decades of practicing law, I gravitated towards this area for two reasons. The first is that it allows me to help people avoid problems on the front end, rather than just help them cope after problems arise. The second reason is that it allows me to spend a lot of my time teaching and sharing information with my clients instead of arguing with other lawyers. I also am available to speak to groups and organizations interested in the areas of will, trusts, and estate planning.
