Dismissive and Unprofessional Consultation Experience

My sibling contacted this firm seeking legal counsel for a family member. Attorney John Hammons returned the call, and I was added to the conversation because I am a licensed pharmacist and handle the medical aspects of the case. From the moment Attorney John Hammons got on the phone, his tone was... condescending and dismissive. Before hearing any of the facts or evidence, he spoke as though he had already made up his mind. Rather than asking questions and listening, he repeatedly talked over us and focused on explaining the burden of proof. The problem was that he never gave us a fair opportunity to explain the substantial evidence we already have. When I finally said that he would need to let me speak if he wanted to understand the facts, he became defensive and told us to find another lawyer. What was most troubling was that this attitude started immediately, before we had even explained the situation. As a result, the interaction felt discriminatory and unfair. Whether intentional or not, we were left feeling judged and dismissed rather than treated as prospective clients seeking professional legal advice. Professionalism begins with listening. Unfortunately, that was completely absent from our experience with Attorney John Hammons. I would not recommend this firm based on the treatment we received.
