OUTCOME: Case dismissed by the District Attorney's Office

Client was arrested with drugs in an automobile stop and then arrested subsequently for armed robbery. Both cases involved lots of players and moving parts which complicated matters as the ADA was loo ... king at cleaning house. Client's case improved as we poked holes in the stop which we showed was unreasonable and violative of our his rights. We also aggressively defended the robbery to the point the ADA dropped both cases.

OUTCOME: Case dismissed by prosecutor.

Client accused of picking on and striking another student at LSU. He was arrested for felony second degree battery. We investigated the case and prepared full mitigation package for the prosecutor. ... We also had client enroll and complete court approved anger management and other behavior modification classes and community service work to illustrate to the prosecutor this young man was redeemable and request a dismissal. All of these actions and a close inspection of the evidence convinced the prosecutor to dismiss.

Client was arrested for felony possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Client had horrendous criminal history when he was younger and had turned his life around in several positive ways. I pr ... epared a comprehensive mitigation package for the prosecutor and client was allowed to plead guilty to simple possession with probation.

OUTCOME: Client not fined by LDEQ and cleaned up the site and LDEQ closed its case.

Client had purchased old property with condemned school on it. He proceeded to demolish school without doing any kind of environmental assessment. LDEQ inspector came to site and threatened to take e ... nforcement action. Client hired us after LDEQ began to take this action. I was able to intervene and prevent any fines against client if he properly tested and disposed of materials that were suspected of containing asbestos.

OUTCOME: Case dismissed by prosecutor.

Client called and advised me that she was arrested on Sunday for criminal trespass. It was at her ex-husband’s house and she was dropping off her son, Cole. There had been an altercation between her ... and her daughter on Saturday when she went to pick them up for her scheduled weekend visit. Her ex was out of town and the daughter (age 15) had a bunch of boys there and client told them all to leave and her daughter got angry. Long story short, client's son went with her and when she dropped him back the next day the cops were there and the daughter told them client busted in the house and wouldn’t leave. This family crisis that got forced into the judicial system was de-escalated by our legal representation and negotiation with the prosecutor who agreed to dismiss it upon hearing all of the facts.

OUTCOME: Case dismissed by prosecutor after completion of special conditions.

Client arrested for Felony Possession of Schedule II & Schedule III drugs. Client had two previous possession of marijuana convictions. Intervened quickly in the case and spoke to the ADA who said he ... "had" to bill him with felony possession charge and would consider dismissal if client completed special conditions. This was AFTER we provided mitigation package in detail to the ADA. The conditions were: an SAE and any recommended treatment; 50 hours CS at Habitat for Humanity; e/e; forfeit any money seized at arrest; and $500 costs of prosecution. Client completed all of this and the case was dismissed.
