Biography
My name is Kyle Sherman and I am a fighter!I have been practicing law since 1996, specializing in Personal Injury work since 1998. Immediately after graduating from the Louisiana State University Law Center, I had the honor of working for the nationally renowned criminal defense attorney, Roy Black in Miami, Florida.
Shortly after returning to Louisiana, I began working for Charles Brandt, a very well respected Civil Trial Lawyer in Lafayette, Louisiana. We eventually formed the partnership of Brandt and Sherman, LLP, where we represent the injured.
Recently, I graduated from the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College , concentrating on skill development for Jury Trials. I was voted the class representative out of 54 students, which included mass tort litigators, capital offense defenders and a Trial Lawyer of the Year. It was a great honor to be recognized among such a group of talented trial lawyers and wonderful people.
When I am not practicing law, I compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and train under UFC veteran, Tim Credeur. My martial arts training compliments my trial skills, in that it sharpens my mind and ability to focus my energy in a positive way against my opponents in and out of the courtroom. I also enjoy raising and training horses with my wife, artist Catherine Boley.
