Proven in Crisis, Trusted by Courts, and Respected by Peers: A Premier Advocate for those Injured at Sea.
I focus my practice on advocating for those harmed by negligence at sea and in other complex civil cases. I was honored to be appointed by a federal judge to the Executive Committee overseeing the litigation arising from the 2021 SEACOR POWER tragedy, one of the nation’s most significant recent maritime disasters. This role, along with my work helping secure millions of dollars for clients affected by the BP oil spill and other maritime incidents, reflects the trust courts and clients place in my advocacy.
Since 2022, I’ve been recognized as a Super Lawyer, and since 2024 as a Best Lawyer, both peer-nominated honors reserved for attorneys respected by their colleagues for skill and professionalism.
My commitment to maritime law began in law school, where I served as Senior Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal and received Tulane’s top awards for excellence in admiralty law. That foundation continues to guide my approach today. I’ve authored amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) briefs in both the Louisiana Supreme Court and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, contributing to judicial decisions that shape the future of maritime law.
I believe the strongest representation comes from mastering the complexities of the law and translating them into clear, practical guidance for my clients. My goal in every case is not only to fight for justice but also to ensure that my clients feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout the process.
