Christopher Kent Ralston

Chris Ralston handles a broad range of commercial litigation and specializes in the areas of antitrust law, business torts, contract disputes, tax litigation, securities litigation and arbitration and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Ralston serves as the main litigation contact for a number of the firm’s institutional clients. He also serves as a part of the firm’s appellate practice.

Mr. Ralston regularly appears in state and federal courts. He frequently litigates breach of contract disputes and enforcement of non-competition, licensing and distributor agreements. He has tried antitrust, securities fraud, federal qui tam/False Claims Act cases, large real estate suits, and a wide variety of commercial disputes. A substantial segment of his practice includes appellate representation. He has also orally argued before each of the five Louisiana Circuit Courts of Appeal, the Supreme Court of Louisiana and the Fifth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Ralston serves on the firm’s E-Discovery Team and helps guide the firm’s efforts to ensure that the firm's lawyers are on the cutting edge of the evolving legislative and jurisprudential rules which govern electronic discovery and have the best tools available to efficiently collect, review and produce electronic data for the firm’s clients. The E-Discovery Team also works with clients to develop strategies for electronic data organization, retention and collection – both before and during litigation – so that they are prepared to actively avoid, pursue or defend disputes in the most efficient way possible.
