Dismissive and unprofessional

I had a very disappointing experience consulting with Charles Stiegler. From the start, it was clear he didn’t take the time to fully engage with my case. Despite providing my phone number in my initial email, he later emailed me back claiming I hadn’t provided it—showing that he didn’t even bother t...o read my email thoroughly. During our brief call, he spent most of the time trying to devalue my case, suggesting that the Department of Labor (DOL) would suffice. While I believe the DOL can effectively handle back pay claims, they are not equipped to address emotional distress, compensatory damages, or punitive damages—key components of my case. Retaliation claims with clear timelines showing adverse actions following a protected activity are widely recognized as having significant potential, sometimes amounting to substantial damages. Rather than assessing my well-documented claim objectively, he wasted time asking irrelevant questions about my work history. He seemed more interested in downplaying the value of my case than in offering meaningful advice or strategy. For someone with 18 years of experience, I expected a better understanding of retaliation claims and their potential. Unfortunately, the consultation was dismissive, unhelpful, and a waste of my time. I would not recommend his services to anyone seeking serious representation for complex cases.

Doesn't answer phone

Very rude and unprofessional. If he decides not to take a case he simply will not pick up his phone without explanation.

I'm sorry you were unhappy with my decision not to take your case. Attorneys frequently have to decline representation, for many reasons. I understand that this can be upsetting but I assure you it is not personal. As to "not picking up the phone" I checked my records and we spoke on the phone three separate times, including a 22-minute conversation, in addition to at least a dozen emails. I assure you I gave careful and complete consideration to the information and documents you provided, and the decision to pass on your case was not taken lightly. Your final call (which apparently led to this review) was made on a Friday afternoon after I had already left the office. Again - I understand why you are upset, but I do not believe this comment fairly represents what actually happened.

Charles represented me and a few of my co-workers from Plaquemines Parish Govt. We were not being paid time and a half the way we were suppose to and Charles took on the case. It was a dog fight and at times it did not look like we would be successful in winning our case , however this man NEVER GAVE... UP AND FOUGHT LIKE A PITBULL. We won our case and now I am being properly paid by Plaquemines Parish Govt. Thank you Charles for not giving up when things were not going our way. I HIGHLY RECOMEND ANYBOY TO HIRE THIS LAW FIRM IF THEY HAVE ANY DISPUTE IN BEING PAID TIME AND A HALF FOR HOURS YOU WORK!!!!!! I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT CHARLES.
