Peyton Bowman graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, focusing on applied biopsychology and industrial psychology. From there, Peyton was accepted into Loyola University College of Law’s civil law division and graduated with her Juris Doctorate in May 2019. While in law school, Peyton participated in the Community Outreach Committee, Moot Court, and the Community Justice Law Clinic. Peyton is also passionate about helping those members of the LGBTQ+ community with legally changing their names or gender markers. Today, Peyton’s practice is largely comprised of civil rights cases – police brutality, racial discrimination, gender discrimination, false arrests, and illegal searches and seizures, but she also has extensive experience in medical malpractice, corporate law, insurance disputes, and personal injury.
An expert in conducting focus groups for jury research, Peyton also conducts focus groups for her own firm and for firms across the country to better understand the unique and complex needs of each case before they go to trial.
Peyton is associated with the National Lawyers Guild, Louisiana Association for Justice, Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, Super Lawyers, and Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Peyton has also been nationally recognized by the American Institute of Trial Lawyers for her exceptional courtroom abilities and was awarded the Top 40 Under 40 award in 2020.

Excellent
I hired Ms. Bowman for a police case. She actually listens to you and will do everything humanly possible to get you what you deserve. Most attorneys I spoke with brushed me off, spoke over me, and used a condescending tone. Not her. She will treat you like a human. Not only that, she is excellent at...

My lawyer is better than your lawyer
I met Peyton while riding motorcycles funny enough. You don't see a lot of attorneys on a bike. Peyton helped me change my name and gender marker on my ID and birth certificate. She is very knowledgeable about LGBTQ laws and fights for the LGBT community. I tried to start the process on my own but it...
Thank you for your very kind words! I am so glad that I could help you. You know where to find me if you need anything else!

A blessing!
I needed help when the police were harassing me due to my race and falsely arrested me. She explained everything to me very well and fought for me to get justice. My attorney actually listened to me and believed in me. Had them at every turn. Very blessed to have crossed paths and wouldn't be where I...

Very helpful
I called a bunch of law firms to get advice about my case and miss Peyton was the only lawyer to help me. She talked to me for a long time about what I needed to do and gave me good advice for free.
"Peyton has worked for me for about eight years. She is incredibly bright and constantly inspires myself and other attorneys with her insight and strategy."
"I endorse Peyton Bowman. I have worked with Peyton on several cases involving police brutality, dog bites, and discrimination based on gender and race. She brings a unique perspective to every case she handles, and her diligent research and writing skills are unparalleled. Her competitive spirit serves her well in both her pleadings and in the courtroom. Peyton's ability to effectively argue cases in open court gives her an advantage, as she is not afraid to go to trail for her clients."
