Thankful survivor of domestic violence
As a female survivor of domestic violence we want to be heard and understood by our piers. I was so relieved when my attorney, Glenn McGovern, sent Callen Johns, a female associate, to speak with me. You could hardly imagine my relief to have a women speaking with me who understood my fears and concerns. I was so grateful to have an attorney who recognized my fears of white men who have been my abusers. It eliminates that stress by giving me a female representative. Callen Johns is incredible. Every step of the way Callen informed me of my rights while also listening to my real fears. She acknowledged my fears while advising me the law isn't always fair or just. Callen heard my fears and understood my reactions which were based on past trauma. I am so grateful Callen was there for me in the court room to hold my hand and let me know he will not hurt me here. The past is the past... she made me feel safe. Thank you Callen Johns for hearing me and understanding my fear. I am eternally grateful. God Bless.
