Finding yourself in trouble with the law is daunting for anyone. I found myself in a horrible situation while traveling back to Kansas City from a jobsite in Wyoming. I ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere Nebraska and made the horrible decision to drink on the side of the road. While not actually... “driving under the influence,” I refused to blow for the highway patrol and was subsequently charged with refusal to perform a chemical test (DUI). Unfortunately, not my first… I was facing a Felony DUI, months of jailtime, and a very large fine. I contacted Dan Stockmann immediately after being bonded out of jail. He responded within hours of my initial message and thoroughly explained the process of an out of state DUI. He was honest, considerate, and never made any promises. He was able to get my charges reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor. Due to the state having mandatory minimum sentencing I was looking at a 30-day jail sentence. However, Dan was able to secure me completing the sentence via House Arrest with 90-day SCRAM monitoring. I normally don’t do reviews but I felt compelled to share this for anyone who feels as hopeless as I did. Left the same review on Google but I wanted to ensure people who need a lawyer to not look past Dan. Look no further, Daniel Stockmann is the lawyer you want in your corner. Called and spoke to a...lmost 10 lawyers before him and each one said their pitch like I was buying a car at the dealership. Almost gave up on finding an honest and genuine lawyer but I am glad I made the extra call to Mr. Stockmann. Out of all the lawyers I spoke to he actually talked to me like a person and didn’t mention any word about his “ fees” until I actually brought it up myself and when discussed was actually one of the more reasonable rates. He gave me insight and my possible outcomes before I even retained him as my lawyer for my case. Went from several serious felony charges to deferred prosecution, basically saving my life and career. He never guaranteed anything, but made everything very clear and knew exactly what he was talking about. He handled everything related to my case professionally with no hiccups and we ultimately got the outcome I wanted. He always made sure to update me each step of the way and kept me in the loop about documents and court dates, even appearing for me on several occasions so I could avoid making the long (8+ hour trip) myself.
