Jennifer is by far the absolute worse attorney you could possibly hire! I told her upon hiring her that me and the mother of my child were not able to come to an agreement but Jennifer continued to use all of my funds for "telephone conference with opposing". $105 for each of these several phone conf...erences that I knew nothing about. Finally had to fire her and have slept much better ever since.

Hired her for a long, contentious custody case(almost 10 years)as I thought she would be the one to finally "get it" as an attorney is concerned. Despite how many emails I sent her-she never knew what was going on with the case as evidenced by ignorant questions she would ask me in emails that I stil...l have. She gave me a bunch of co-parenting packets the day she hired me and months later she would continue to condescendingly ask "did you read the packets I gave you yet???" I told her the day that I hired her about the history of DCF presence in the case. I told her how my ex-husband uses corporal punishment and beating to control my child who has a medical diagnosis of autism. I also told her we previously had co-parenting therapy and it was unsuccessful. She literally did not listen when I tried to tell her that my ex-husband was a domestic abuser even though DCF would never admit this. After firing her-because on top of previously mentioned here she neglected to inform me of a notice of hearing-she took me to collections. I have multiple emails to show to the disciplinary board how she did not follow lawyer rules of conduct for the Kansas Supreme Court. Since firing her-my ex-husband assaulted my child, had a domestic abuse charge brought against him in regard to this assault of my child and had this charge lowered to a misdemeanor. My child has been subjected to having to go back and live with him 100% of the time(my child has to deal with him and his spouse's abusive ways until my child turns 18)I have to pay child support to an abusive and neglectful parent that the DA in our county informed me last fall "corporal punishment is not illegal to use on your children". Ms. Berger still wants her money-almost $2k to be exact-from me when she did not earn the first $5k. Interesting to see she has an endorsement from Joe Huerter-considering I hired someone from his firm to represent me in 2020 after DCF said I was "making false allegations of abuse and neglect" against my ex husband. That person actually did their job. But doesn't matter when the system is full of cons and liars. Right down to administrative law judges who side with caseworkers that have LIED against medical records. Doesn't matter. One more reason why I hired what turned out to be this incompetent woman.

If you are looking for someone who will fight for you as you would fight for yourself then look no further. I have hired her on two occasions and because of her desire to do the best job possible I came to think of her as a friend. She listens and is a caring lawyer who can be a pitbull when needed. ...

I hired Jennifer Berger as my attorney while I was deployed to the Middle East. While I was out of the states she did a great job and providing positive communication and also served as a great listener to issues and other problems that I had while overseas. When I returned stateside and met Jennifer..., I knew I had mad a great choice to have her represent me as my attorney. Jennifer is a very hard work, caring, and a all around great attorney. She was able to get my ex to agree to a lot, which made the divorce process not that bad and made sure the divorce was fair all around. I would highly recommend Jennifer Berger to anyone going threw a divorce. I promise you if you hire Jennifer Berger as your attorney, you'll be 100% satisfied with your choice all around.

I hired Ms. Berger to represent me in my divorce of a 30 yr marriage with no children. Took three years to finalize. What was obviously mine was NOT fought for. Husband was certified GM mechanic and had $30,000 worth of tools and equipment which when auction was held---his tools were not there. $...25 worth of rusty hammers and broken saw blades were submitted for sale. His tools were hidden at his mother's garage. My husband had a "friend" appraise his race truck. I knew the tires on the truck were worth thousands as they were special racing slicks and I paid the check that purchased them. His truck was appraised at $1500 instead of $40,000 and my lawyer Jennifer accepted that. She did not FIGHT or correct the wrongs. I would not recommend her unless you want to be your own lawyer and fight the battle yourself. I lost big time financially in the settlement due to my "not knowing" and the first time I was ever in a court battle. My mistake for hiring someone who wouldn't go the extra mile to get what was rightfully and legally mine. I would not recommend for a divorce lawyer as my divorce should have been cut and dried---easy to prove. And I had proof to back up what the true values were on everything. She just would not pursue the real values for me when I was emotionally lost.
