Carl Cornwell is not anything close to being the lawyer he supposedly once was. He had to have paid these peop...le to write these reviews because the Carl Cornwell that I retained and gave all my money to was nothing more than a liar dressed in an expensive suit. He made so many promises and when it came time to make good on those promises he was nowhere to be found. I gave this man thousands of dollars because he assured us that my sons father would do no more than 38 months for his crime... The night before the trial Carl reveals that his big plan was for Darrellto throw himself on the mercy of the court! So Carl's promise of 38 months became 43 years without parole. He will not return your phone calls unless he is asking for more of your money! He could care less about your case. He will have you take a plea just to get rid of you. Do not give this man any money up front!! Before you retain him, ask around! His colleagues will tell you their opinion of him. I am not writing this in anger, my experience with Carl happened 14 years ago and I have since moved on. However; I do feel it is only right to warn anyone who is considering hiring Mr. Cornwell as their attorney...he may have been a well respected attorney at one time, unfortunately that time had already ran out by time I hired him in 2003. He is still trying to ride that wave when all he really is.. Is a real good talker. You would have a better shot at winning your case by representing yourself. Carl knows exactly who I am. He also knows that there was so much more I could have said about Darrell's case..He is passed his prime and nothing but a wolf in sheeps clothing! There are so many lawyers in olathe! Any one of them would be a better choice than Carl Cornwell. He does not care about you or your case. If you do retain him, be sure to use caution! Do not give him any of your money up front. He is just a thief in a suit. He is a joke... I am baffled how a man who couldnt even get my driving with no insurance ticket amended can get a pervert who violated little girls off Scott free
