Timothy Ambrose O'Keefe

I hired Mr.O'Keefe for a domestic violence case that I had been charged with. As I have had several legal mishaps throughout my life, he treated me with dignity and respect. He then let the District Attorney know where we stood. And the case was dismissed at my first court date after advisement. Tim O’Keefe is so professional while being personal, that I can’t imagine a better lawyer to hire for anything. I was charged with a domestic violence assault which I was not guilty for; and working with the Lakewood courts and Covid procedures, Mr O’Keefe managed to get a trial date set after a de...lay of almost six months. This in itself was a major ordeal, which the prosecutor later commented on; stating how patient Mr O’Keefe had been in our wait on the courts, and how professional he remained throughout. All the time keeping me calm and positive about getting through these Court procedures. All of Mr O’Keefe’s examinations of the prosecutor’s witnesses as well as the victim, clearly pointed the jury to the real facts; not only that I was innocent but that my arrest was totally unnecessary! The jury returned before 15 min had passed and found me NOT GUILTY of any assault!! I realized this was all because of Mr O’Keefe’s legal knowledge AND his presence in the court room. He is honestly my hero!, this was a 6 month ordeal for me that only Tim O’Keefe got me through.

Having suffered severe injustice at an airline in bankruptcy, I came to understand the value of legal representation in the earliest stages of difficulties. As a Legal Shield member since January 2017, I have relied on a number of attorneys on several occasions. This time, a condo building neig...hbor violated me publicly. I consulted with a criminal defense attorney who analyzed my case and assured me I was not in trouble. Unfortunately, the neighbor later escalated his violations to a point where this attorney referred me to Tim O'Keefe. Tim explained legal procedure and analysis in the detail only learned through experience. It is important to state that even though I could have found information on courthouse websites (had I known to go to them), I would have never been able to navigate the process myself. There are so many variables in our legal system that even retaining an attorney is not a guarantee of a certain outcome. Eventually, I had to close my case to avoid throwing good money after bad. My situation has been part of ongoing difficulty for the past 20-plus years; I am confident that justice will one day be served. Tim's acumen, manner, and experience are impressive. Five-star efforts did everything they could. My hope is that I don't have to return but I certainly would if ever needed.
