Biography
Michelle joined the David Law Office after a career as an Assistant Attorney General to focus on helping people obtain or maintain their professional license.
Kansas Administrative Law is a specialized area, where knowing the agencies and players can provide an advantage. Michelle has experience with multiple agencies in Kansas, including the Board of Nursing, Department of Children and Families, and Insurance and Securities Department. Michelle also strives to keep herself well versed and up to date with the Kansas Administrative Proceedures Act (KAPA), Kansas Open Records Act (KORA), and the Kansas Judicial Review Act (KJRA).
Michelle has also practiced both family and criminal law and offers those services as well. Michelle started out her legal career in family law, walking parents and spouses through the difficulty of divorce and helping in the fight for custody and protection of children. Michelle has experienced criminal law on both sides, having briefly been a prosecutor and now fighting for clients being accused of crimes. She additionally interned for the Appellate Defenders Office while in law school researching and writing briefs; one of which resulted in the release of a client from prison after a wrongful conviction.
Michelle is a native Kansan, having grown up in a small town in North Central Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University 2010 with a degree in Horticulture. Michelle received her J.D. from Washburn University School of Law.
When Michelle is not practicing law she enjoys scuba diving, gardening, and hiking with her dog.
