Going through a divorce is emotionally, mentally and physically the worst thing I’ve went through in my life. You hire a lawyer who is understanding and competent to help you get through this hard time. I received the opposite services. Mrs. Benner was unprepared, not knowledgeable about court proce...dures and caused more emotional, mental and physical hurt during a time I needed a professional. Between the stress of getting an unwanted divorce and the stress Mrs. Benner caused in the process, I was unable to work and struggled daily. The only reason I was granted anything in my divorce after leaving my ex with everything besides a few belongs that I took for me was because of my mother. My mother put together all documentation for court, researched the law and policies as well as provided all emotional support during the process. I paid Mrs. Benner in full for her “lawyer degree” but would not recommend her to represent you during a horrible time unless you are prepared to feel worse and represent yourself without getting paid.

I was seeking advice on how to file for an amicable divorce for my parents who had been living apart for over 10 years. One was very ill and it was important to protect both of their assets in the advent of a catastrophic illness. As my parents lived in Columbia and I was almost 200 miles away, findi...ng Tana Benner, who was recommended by my local attorney, was a godsend. We were able to handle all of the particulars electronically via email and Tana helped us divide up all of the assets in a way that way that was fair to both of my parents. Everything was as smooth as possible except for the archaic court system. It took over 5 months to get an uncontested divorce to be accepted by the court. Obviously not her fault, I would wholeheartedly recommend Tana Benner for any matrimonial matters that you may have to deal with.

I cannot say enough positive things about Tana Benner of Columbia Family Law Group. Choosing an attorney for a divorce or any legal matter requiring representation is a scary and overwhelming thought. My fears were comforted by the professional, yet reassuring atmosphere in working with Tana. She ...is prompt, reliable and takes time with her clients.
