About Nicholas
Biography
Nick is a natural-born competitor who enjoys fighting for his clients. He has collected millions of dollars on their behalf, including jury trial victories in Kansas and Missouri as well as several seven-figure settlements.
He takes pride in getting to know each client and treating them with respect. He enjoys figuring out large, complicated cases and ensuring clients feel comfortable and prepared. Nick believes that together with his clients and the jury, that team can help make our communities safer and hold wrongdoers accountable. At the very least, Nick hopes to make his clients whole again, taking back what was taken from his client, and holding those responsible accountable.
Nick remains very involved with the legal community. He is a Past President for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Solo Practitioner/Small Firm Section. He has previously served on the Young Lawyers Section Board of Directors and in various other roles for the Solo Practitioner/Small Firm Section. In 2015, the KCMBA recognized him as Young Lawyer of the Year. He formally served as a board member of the Midwest Innocence Project’s NextGen Board. In 2015 and 2016, the Kansas City Business Journal recognized Nick as the Best of the Bar. He has been a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters-KC program since 2016.
Nick is a lifelong learner and committed to staying on top of the latest trial techniques. He is a graduating member of the Ross T. Roberts Inn of Court Trial College and a graduate of KCMBA’s Bar Leadership Academy. He regularly travels to various conferences to stay on top of the latest developments in trial practice.
Nick and his wife, Christina, lived in Kansas City’s River Market for a decade, leaving to live on acreage. In his free time, Nick enjoys outdoor adventures such as backpacking, long-distance trail running, and paddling. He ran his first ultramarathon trail race in 2016 and has since completed other ultra-races including the Arches Ultra 50k in the Moab Desert. He completed the world’s longest continuous paddling race, the MR340, in 2018, 2023 and 2024.
