I was born and raised in rural Mid-Missouri.  After high school I entered the Navy where I served our country for four years.  I graduated at the top of my naval class.  After leaving the Navy, I used my skills at TransWorld Airlines (TWA).  I then returned to college, after starting my family, in 1995.  I graduated with a degree in Business Management and started law school in 1998.  While in Law School I served as the Business Editor of the Law Review and on the legal journal, Urban Lawyer.  After law school I started my own practice in Liberty, MO.  I then joined forces with Annette Griggs in 2004 and formed our current firm of McCollum & Griggs, LLC and devoted our practice to representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases.

Professional yet kind
David was straight forward and honest throughout the process. He relieved the anxiety I was having due to an insurance company treating me unfairly. He immediately got to work and resolved my issue. I would recommend David to anyo9ne needing assistance including my own family.

Caring Professional
I went through cancer treatments that left me with some permanent 'side-effects'. Not all side-effects were communicated at the time of treatment; so I needed some help. My first introduction to David was through his paralegal, Julie. After talking with both, I quickly realized this was the team I needed to have my back. David listens and genuinely cares. You never feel rushed or like you are just a case number. This is a rare quality in business and is to be commended! I would recommend using David's services; he will be your best advocate!

Great lawyer for car accidents
My fiancé was in an accident right after the first of the year in 2017. He was on his way to work when he was rear-ended by a car going at highway speed. Our little car sustained a lot of damage. My fiancé was hurt and went to the emergency room. David’s paralegal Julie made sure my fiancé got the best care and also took care of everything with the other driver’s insurance. David got our case settled in record time. My finance even got reimbursed for the hours he lost at his job because of his injuries. David got a settlement large enough for us to do a little family vacation. I would recommend him for anyone in an auto accident. He is thorough , honest, caring and makes the insurance companies pay you what you deserve. Thank you David McCollum.

The best lawyer ever
I appreciated Mr McCollum's promptness and professionalism in handling my case. We discussed every aspect of my case. The key factor for me was his communication skills. Mr McCollum made sure I understood any /all options associated with the case. He advised me accordingly. He made me feel comfortable and confident in his abilities. Motorcycle accident
Mr. McCollum didn't miss a lick when it came to my case. He acted quickly to get everyone on board including myself and my fiance'. I ended up with a brain injury which, very much, limited my being able to think clearly and make judgment calls. Mr. McCollum and his partner worked to get me the best in medical care and hired the best experts in the neurological field. I admit I was uncooperative because of my brain injury but Mr. McCollum and his partner understood and worked with my limitations. Their knowledge base for brain injury, I feel, is enormous, which, made them the right choice for me in my circumstances. They worked quickly as I was not able to return to work. They were right there every step of the way and seemed to even anticipate problems before they came up. If not for their quick investigation, my case would not have had the outcome it did. They worked diligently to get me the settlement I needed for me to go on with my life.
