Hired Russell for a DUI, he's hard to get ahold of and mostly talked to another lawyer that works at his firm. Court date comes and he's not there but a younger, less experienced lawyer is there. He scratched out Russell's name and put his on there. I got 30 days and a felony. It all seemed very phon...ed in by Russell and I felt he could've put more effort into the whole thing.

This is the attorney you want! In 2015 I found him through this page; and so I will leave this amazing story as a true testament to those previous reviews which made me reach out to mr. Powell. I was facing an impossible 2nd dui charge, of which the cop gave me a refusal due to 'not blowing hard eno...ugh'. During the dui case they found out about my prior dui which was also a refusal. Through it all, we waited a few months and eventually he got it knocked to an improper lane change and failure to yield! That part was DONE just like that, not even on my record as a 2nd dui. Meanwhile, since I contacted him quickly after the incident, he was able to do something and I kept getting extensions for my license. It was never suspended through the whole time and just recently we won the license hearing too! No ignition interlock nor suspension! He was truly AMAZING, and all this came through the work of his knowledgeable skills and execution on the trial room floor. The cop had odds stacked against me with a failed walked, stand and breathalyzer. But he meticulously picked the cop and his attorney's argument apart fully! I already had a sense that he cared about my case all throughout; however, the way that he prepared and presented my case during the trial clearly showed me that he truly cared about my outcome. That was a small things of the trial compared to his 'movie like' attorney skills, which even caused other attorneys to commend him outside of the court room. In the end I kept my license and it got knocked down to two minor charges and all for a low cost. I would recommend him to my MOM! This IS your guy!

I hired Atty. Powell for a close friend of mine who was arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
