Professional, Fair, Great Integrity and Communication!

Our family needed advice on how to handle an estate, and we were going up against a BIG bank. The person we were dealing with at the bank seemed to have something against us from the start - like he had a chip on his shoulder. He misinterpreted the trust document, and we decided not to lay down and... take it. I did a lot of research on law firms in the St. Louis area, and found great reviews for RHP. Most of the firms I called wanted to talk about money right away. I found that RHP was more interested in finding out if it was a good fit. We found their fees to be SO much more fair than anyone else we spoke to. John Fenley is the attorney that we worked with - and we couldn't be more pleased. He has been so informative, and acted in our best interest. If you want an objective, fair, and well-informed legal team - this is the best I could find. By the way, John was able to avoid major legal fees, and the bank agreed with his/our interpretation of the trust doc. So we didn't have to create an estate, and avoided costly probate expenses. You can imagine what a relief this is to our family. Thank you John. I wish you continued success! Your integrity and fairness in our matters will not be forgotten.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I have worked with John on several different matters as both an opposing counsel and as guardian ad litem. John has always been very professional, is obviously very knowledgeable about our area of law, and is very timely--both in court and with responses to inquiries. He is a pleasure to work with, and I would feel comfortable referring a family member or friend to him."

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"John is a very good attorney who is reasonable when it comes to settlement terms, but knows when he needs to fight for his clients. I often refer cases to Mr. Fenley and his firm when I am conflicted out. I do not give out endorsements lightly, but wholeheartedly endorse Mr. Fenley."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
