My partner and I almost exclusively represent clients that have come into contact with the criminal justice system, either through investigation, pending charges, or convictions. We handle all aspects of the criminal process from pre-indictment to postconviction. My area of concentration is postconviction cases in both state and federal court. I have represented clients challenging their sentence, conviction or continued confinement in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri, Sourthern District of Illinois, Northern District of Georgia, and Northern Distirct of Indiana. I have also represented clients in Missouri challenging their convictions and sentences including clients sentenced to life without possibility of parole and to death. In addition to my postconviction work, I have represented clients charged with crime in both federal and state court at the trial level and on direct appeal.

Mr. Schriener is one of the best attorneys that you can hire. He will not fill you with false hope or make empty promises. Once he is hired he goes to work and fights to the end. He is a professional that knows his business and leaves no stone unturned. No matter what the outcome. Once he steps in yo...

I consulted with Mr. Schreiner about an expungement, and not only did he offer a price that was competitive, he went above and beyond in making sure he had all the proper info. He really stays on top of current law and I get the feeling he's truly doing this job because he loves helping people. He wa...

Kevin provided me with legal advice, and explained his rationale to me every step of the way. More importantly to me, though, he showed compassion and understanding about the difficulties of navigating a legal system that doesn't always favour objectivity. I'm completely satisfied with the services...
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Mr. Schriener many years. When I have a question about either federal or state habeas issues in particular he is my go-to attorney to ask questions of or to discuss my issue with. He keeps abreast of the changing court decisions more than I do and he knows the ins and outs of the Missouri and federal law on this issue. I wholeheartedly endorse him as an expert in this field."
"I've known Kevin Schriener for many years and endorse him as a skilled, experienced and ethical criminal defense attorney."
"I endorse this lawyer. Kevin is an outstanding trial and appellate lawyer. I recommend him hightly"
"I have known Mr. Schriener for many years, beginning when he worked for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, and since he went into private practice. Few attorneys in the St. Louis area half has as much experience as Mr. Schriener in habeas corpus. If you need and experienced attorney in state or federal court for appellate or post-conviction relief matters, I highly recommend Mr. Schriener."
"I have worked with Kevin Schreiner on several criminal cases, consulted with him on other cases, and referred cases to him. He is one of the most knowledgable and conscientious lawyers I know. I would trust him to represent my little brother."
