I finished my undergraduate degree in 1984 from University of Missouri, Columbia and then went on to complete my JD from Washington University, St. Louis in 1991. While in law school I was a member of the Washington University regional winning Mock Trial team.
I am licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and over my career I have represented hundreds of individuals in the St. Louis City, St. Louis County and Franklin County areas. My first job out of law school was working for a plaintiff’s railroad litigation firm where I was able to obtain trial and hearing experience in nine different venues in the United States. In 1995 I left that practice to become a partner in my own firm with two other partners. Since the end of 2010 I have been a sole practitioner.
Outside of my law practice, since 1991, I have been able to combine my undergraduate education experience with my trial knowledge as an adjunct professor with Washington University in St. Louis. I began as an adjunct professor with the undergraduate mock trial program. After a few years, I was then hired to be an adjunct professor with the Law School teaching a Pretrial class then later returned to teaching Mock Trial, but this time at the Law School. I am honored to coach the Washington University Law School mock trial team which has qualified for the National Competition more times than any other school in the entire country.
I have been married to my lovely wife Mary for the past 28 years and we have three sons, Sam, 17, Will, 15 and Jack, 12.

Mark Rudder
Mark has been our family lawyer since we redid our will years ago. He is trust worthy and always available. I especially liked his sensitivity regarding our wishes. We use Mark for all of our legal situations
"I strongly endorse this lawyer. Mark is a highly ethical, hard-working, talented attorney. He communicates sincerely with clients and diligently with other attorneys. Mark is highly qualified and effective in personal injury, wrongful death, Workers' Compensation and many other areas."
"I have been opposing counsel to Mark in multiple cases and Mark has always been a very formidable adversary. He is always very prepared and advances his client's positions extremely effectively. Mark establishes an excellent rapport with his clients and obtains superior results for them."
"I endorse Mark as a tough but fair opponent in workers' compensation cases. Mark diligently and vigorously represents his clients while maintaining a high level of professional courtesy. Although we often disagree on the cases we have, it's never personal. He represents his clients well."
"I endorse this lawyer. Mark is an excellent attorney and a great guy. Mark enjoys the respect of his peers, and is known for his generous contribution of time and talent to the mock trial team at Washington University Law School."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Mark for almost 30 years as a friend and fellow lawyer and can say that he is a lawyer of utmost integrity and honesty. Mark serves his client very well and will always see a client's case through to the end."
"Mr. Rudder hired me as an associate right out of law school, and taught me pretty much everything I know about practicing law. For nearly three years I was able to watch him diligently represent clients in personal injury and Workers' Compensation matters. He always keeps up to date on important issues of law, while maintaining close contact with clients on the status of their cases. He genuinely cares about all of his clients, and (with the help of his long-time paralegal Ronda and the rest of his staff) helps to ensure his clients' experience with the legal process is as successful and painless as possible."
"Mark has filed multiple claims over the years against Employers that I represent. Based on this experience, I can safely say that Mark has an excellent knowledge of workers compensation law and he is a tenacious advocate for his clients."
