I am a Missouri and Kentucky attorney. My practice covers business law, real estate, taxation, and questions of data privacy and intellectual property. I counsel companies and individuals through (1) contract drafting and negotiation, (2) entity formation, structuring and taxation, as well as (3) data utilization and privacy law.

Before I founded Porter | Smith Law, I worked inside and alongside law firms, banks, and advisory firms.  I hold a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Washington University in St. Louis. I also build technology through Robert & Porter, which keeps me fluent in the privacy, risk, and commercial questions my clients increasingly face.
