5-star EB-2 NIW service

I cannot understate how impressed and pleased I was with the service Jim and his team (and particular Kayla) provided me and my wife as we applied for an EB-2 NIW and AOS. It started with a free consultation call where Jim was positive about my chances of being approved for an EB-2 NIW and clearly la...id out my options with regard to submitting petitions and the implications for work and travel during the time our petitions were being processed. Once I hired Jim, he and his team guided us through the process of collecting documentation and letters. They were clear about what was required and were able to advise a course of action when certain documents were delayed. My impression was they were incredibly comprehensive in the package they put together for submission. And then, at the time of submission, came the most important advice we received, in my mind: We were planning to submit our petitions for I-140 and AOS concurrently, because during that time the dates were current. In November 2022, Jim and his team communicated with us that dates were retrogressing for EB-2s in December 2022 and so if we wanted to submit concurrently, the petition would have to be received by USCIS by November 31. That started a rush to collect the last of the documentation. In addition, Jim and his team advised that we could submit medical exams later when they were requested by USCIS, as these were only valid for 6 months from the time of the examination. I estimate these two pieces of advice saved us several years of waiting (the most important) and close to $1000. The first piece of advice, that we file concurrently in November, was incredibly insightful. Even though, up to then, the EB-2 had been current, after December 2022 the EB-2 filing and priority dates retrogressed for the next year and a half. If we had filed the I-140 and AOS petitions separately, we would only have been able to file our AOS early this year (2024). Instead, we received our green cards at that time. Secondly, because of the severe backlog of EB-2 petitions, our medical exams would definitely have expired and my wife and I would have needed new medical exams anyway. Jim and his team had impressed me throughout the process, but realizing the huge impact these two pieces of advice made me that much more grateful that I hired Jim and his team to guide us through this process.

Extremely satisfied with the service provided for NIW and AOS

I contacted Attorney Jim Arkell for my green card and he clearly explained the necessary steps I should take, in the first free consultation call. His team is very fast in preparing documents. Once I did my part of the process, attorney's office prepared the documents within a week, which was awe...some! Also, they respond to the emails promptly and all of my questions were clarified within a day or two. Highly recommend Attorney Jim Arkell for NIW and AOS cases.

Green Card application through the National Interest Waiver program

I had been working in the US on a non-immigrant J-1 visa, doing scientific research at a major university. I was introduced to the National Interest Waiver (NIW) program through a talk given by Dunn Law at my institution. On my reaching out for information, I was offered a free evaluation of my pote...ntial case for a Green Card through the NIW. After forwarding some basic information about my research and publication record, I was advised the Dunn Law believed I had a strong case and would be happy to accept me as a client. Throughout this initial process communication was swift and clear, my options were always laid out for me and any questions I had were answered promptly and accurately. Once I retained Dunn Law, I was given detailed information about how to get the process of applying for a Green Card started. Throughout the initial stages of the application, it was very clear to me what information was needed from me. I also retained Dunn Law to help in the drafting and obtaining of the letters of recommendation that accompanied my Green Card application. Given the specific criteria that are looked for during the application evaluation in said letters, I could not have been more pleased with the work Dunn Law did on them. Throughout the application process I was always able to reach Dunn Law and get answers to any questions I had. This was particularly reassuring during longer periods of waiting for different stages of the application. I was also able to get advice and assistance on several changes of my visa and employment status during the period of my application, which greatly eased the burden of transferring between different positions and institutions while in the US on a non-immigrant visa. In summary: I could not be more pleased with the services I received from Dunn Law, both in leading up to my formally retaining them and during the process of my Green Card application. All staff I dealt with were, without fail, courteous, professional and very eager to help. I found their advice and assistance to be invaluable throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Dunn Law highly enough, especially for individuals interested in obtaining permanent residence in the USA through the National Interest Waiver program.

Approved NIW application

I retained the Dunn law firm for my NIW case. The primary lawyer for my case was Jim Arkell and the paralegal was Kayla Clark. My case was approved and both of them did a fantastic job from beginning to end in preparing my application and communicating with me. In fact, even before I signed the contr...act, Jim was very informative during a free telephone consultation which gave me the confidence to go ahead with the case. Thanks to Jim and his team, my NIW case is approved and I am very happy about it.

Positive experience with immigration thanks to Jim

My experience with the Jim Arkell and his immigration team was very positive. I am a senior doctoral student in engineering and initially reached out to the firm to inquire if petitioning for a National Interest Waiver (NIW) based on my credentials was viable. I was recommended by a friend that also ...had an excellent experience with Jim. After an initial consultation that was free of charge, I decided to retain his services to file the EB-2 NIW since his attorney fees were quite competitive. His team had a lot of experience in this area and provided me with all the steps/documents I needed to take to make a compelling case for my petition. My petition was approved within 9 months. I decided to retain his services again to file for an adjustment of status. Once again his advice at the time, such as including the public charge forms which were required at the time as well the decision to submit my medical records with my adjustment of status package helped USCIS reach a decision on my case fairly quickly (within 6 months). At no point in my journey did I receive any RFEs from USCIS,. Overall, I had a positive experience without any hiccups with Jim and his law firm. I would definitely recommend him to future clients.
