Lawyer

Norman McGill dropped my case with NO WARNING AND NO EXPLANATION after I complained about his secretary...Hum...I wonder what is going on on that office?

Just McDON'T

For something really straight forward with the complexity of Velcro shoes as opposed to laces, Mr. McGill may questionably be up to the challenge. For anything that requires a modicum of attention, expertise, or professionalism, you will find him grossly lacking. The extent of my l...aw experience is the sole result of watching Law and Order SVU marathons, and still I was more effective than McGill. The entire McGill experience was the consummate disappointment. He took my retainer, and then dropped the ball and must have spent the next 6 months looking for it because I didn’t hear from him again. His office received communication from the other party’s attorney the first week of December that he admittedly “lost in a stack of papers” and did not send to me until the last week of January, far past the deadline for submission and offered a weak, “oops” as amends. After missing one court date entirely with no excuse or apology, McGill finally managed to show up without recognizing me and having made no preparations whatsoever for the court date for which I have waited over a year. He spent the entire time fighting for the other party’s requests while completely ignoring or blatantly arguing against mine. That court date? Still waiting on it. Due to McGill’s gross negligence, I still have no resolution to any of the legal issues I paid him to address. For the duration of his retention, I received no returned emails, no returned phone calls, no updates to my case. McGill is a high-priced ostrich focused only on burying his head in the sand. After sending him an email outlining the expectations for my case, McGill withdrew from my case, taking the full retainer and leaving me worse off than when I started, with a mountain of unaddressed legal issues and client abandonment two days before my next court date. If you are looking to retain counsel to advocate for your issues, do not waste your time or money.

Does Not Represent Client or Communicate. W/Client

Hired for divorce & does not defend in courtroom. He does not communicate well. Very slow to respond to email if at all. After several attempts to reach by phone over several days, he may return a call. Needless to say, he is no longer representing me. Thousands of dollars paid for very little res...ults.

Mr. Mcgill Attorney

He failed me so completely! Mr.Norman Mcgill my lawyer is responsible for letting my claim expire. I wasn't even aware that there was a time limit. He specifically told me this case could take up to 2 years and I was dealing with him only. So as I waited patiently I had new information for him and hi...s receptionist said he would call. He never returned my calls. So me and my husband went to his office and of course he wasn't in. The receptionist pulled my case file and took my paperwork. She said somethings not right in my file and she would have him call. He never called. But I got a letter from him telling me my case was closed because time had expired....I trusted this man and I am so frustrated and sick about this. I even tried to set up an appointment to come in and discuss this matter because he would not return my phone calls and the receptionist would not give me an appointment she said she would talk with him and get back with me. Im still waiting..it's sickening that Mr. mcgill dropped the ball on my case and not be held responsible for really messing up my life. I've been fighting Ssi going on 3 years now. I have a bad heart and lungs on 16 different medicines and on oxygen full time. It's a total nightmare for me. Why won't he take responsiblty for letting my case fall in the cracks. He knows this is true. If he was a decent and honest man he would stand up for me regarding an appeal and letting SSI know he and his office was responsible for letting my time expire. Your reasoning for this is you stated you sent me a letter back in November asking me to fill out some more paperwork. I didn't receive it. Mr. Mcgill I have 3 questions? If that paperwork was so important why didn't you send it to me by certified mail? You sent me your contract for me to sign by certified mail. AND if time was running out why didn't you contact me and say hey were running out of time I need to have that paperwork?  I trusted you as my attorney to have my best interest at heart. Mr. Mcgill why did  you would take my case? I'm living in a nightmare.  I'm praying so so hard that ssi will give me a hearing and not make me start over and take away going on 3 years I've been fighting for this. I'm so tired.
