I was born in Carbondale, IL, but grew up in a small town in southwestern Wyoming. After attending the University of Wyoming, I returned to Illinois for law school at the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign, where I graduated in 2004.
Since graduating from law school, I have spent the majority of my career in criminal, traffic and DUI courts, as prosecutor, defense attorney and public defender. In my time at the Peoria County State's Attorney's Office I was a prosecutor in the misdemeanor court for two years, and in the five years prior to joining the law firm of Hall, Rustom & Fritz, I was the chief DUI and traffic prosecutor in Peoria County.
While in Peoria, I was reponsible for the prosecution of 600-700 DUIs per year and over 30,000 traffic tickets. Many of the cases I prosecuted were felony DUI and felony driving while license revoked cases. I tried many cases before juries while in the State's Attorney's Office, and, in fact, in the last four years of my time in that office I did not lose a single trial in front of a jury.
I have the knowledge of the law and trial experience to help with your criminal, DUI or traffic needs. I take great pride in being able to help people that have found themselves in bad situations and will work hard to get you the outcome that you deserve.

Very knowledgeable on the in’s and outs of Traffic law
Was referred to him by another attorney whose dad he helped successfully. I found Chris to be very knowledgeable on the intricacies of my traffic matter and clearly he’s seen the movie before. Most of all he was genuine and personable, hopefully you don’t need his help, but if you do, I would recomme...

Great guy
Even though I paid for his service I still feel like I owe Chris. I was fighting a losing 2nd DUI battle that was being drawn out for over a year due to the circumstances of my case. Chris and Jeff Hall worked on my case but Chris was the guy I would see at court and push my case. Im probably was not...

A sad sap who got a DUI
I rarely write reviews but feel this was necessary for how amazing Christopher Leasor was in dealing with my DUI. First, let me say dont be in position to have to use Jeff Hall of Chris, but if you are:( these are the guys to use. Its an incredible awful process where anything done incorrectly could ...

Misdemeanor Speeding
I was initially charged with a class B misdemeanor for speeding (85 in a 55). Mr. Leasor was able to knock down the charges to a petty offense and handled the case on my behalf as I had moved to Texas before its conclusion. I appreciated the thorough explanations of each step of the process which mad...
"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked with Chris and observed him in action in the courtroom many times. Chris is one of the best DUI lawyers around and a good attorney to have for any kind of criminal or traffic case."
"Chris has an unmatched knowledge of the law. He's the type of attorney others in the field turn to for guidance and insight. His demeanor is friendly and genuine. I had the opportunity to work opposite Chris immediately after becoming licensed to practice during my tenure with the Public Defender. He is a true professional."
"Chris Leasor is one of the most experienced trial attorneys I have had the privilege of facing in court. His level of experience and professionalism ranks among the best in the legal community. Chris Leasor is an excellent choice for anyone needing an attorney."
"I have known Chris Leasor for nearly 10 years as a fellow attorney and, in many cases, an adversary as a prosecutor for the state. I have tried a number of DUI cases to verdict with Chris and have always been impressed by his level of preparation and knowledge of the applicable law and facts. Chris is a dedicated and professional attorney who is committed to representing his clients zealously and with integrity. His years of experience as a prosecutor have given him a valuable insight into the justice system that he is able to pass on to his clients. If you are looking for a personable and skilled attorney to represent you, I endorse Chris Leasor."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have known Chris from the very start of my career as an attorney. I have tried cases as co-counsel with him and as opposing counsel against him. Chris is a gifted trial attorney who is very smart and gives his all at trial. Chris' knowledge of the intricacies of DUI law is unmatched. Chris is definitely on a very short list of attorneys that I would have represent me personally if I were to find myself charged with a DUI."
"Chris is a zealous advocate, who can see both sides of an issue. Such an assessment may not seem noteworthy to a potential client; it is a strong compliment. Most attorneys can see the strengths of their case, but few attorneys can give an honest assessment of a case's weaknesses. Chris can impartially conduct the necessary assessment of a case, which is a coup for the client. Additionally, Chris is a TRUE trial attorney. A lot of attorneys claim they are trial attorneys, but they are afraid to go to trial because the stakes are raised. An attorney may represent he is a trial lawyer to a client, and the attorneys last trial may have been over 6 years ago. Chris is extremely comfortable in trial, tries cases, and can try 1 heck of a case. I endorse this lawyer."
"Chris Leasor is the former chief DUI/traffic prosecutor in Peoria County. I would consistently go against him on cases and he always was knowledgeable of the case and law, he actively managed the large caseload of DUIs in Peoria County, and he would win most of his jury & bench trials. His background in acting and performance gives the jury an exciting show when he argues his case to the jury or judge. Our firm, realizing his talents, decided to extend him an offer to work for us. He now successfully represents our clients, applying all his knowledge gained as the top DUI prosecutor in his county. We are lucky to have him working for our clients."
"I endorse Christopher. He is a highly skilled attorney that is well respected in the legal community."
"Mr. Leasor is a talented trial attorney with years of experience at the State's Attorney's Office prosecuting hundreds of trials. Now, as a criminal defense attorney, he can bring his wealth of knowledge of the criminal justice system to his client's cases. I endorse this attorney."
