I hired Joe in December 2013 to handle an marijuana possession case. Joe was not able to get any charges lowered and ended up taking the standard IL 410 probation that is available to any first time offender. 3500$ for that and two court appearances. On my last meeting with him he looked me in the ey...e and said "Your payment is a paid in full guarantee for the next two years of probation, anything that happens regarding probation I am here to handle it with no additional costs." Three months ago I had a problem arise with switching states, Joe said he would handle it and never did. I call Joe almost everyday and leave messages with no responses, we finally got a response that he was going to represent me in court and not a single call or response since. Joe Bembenek is the most unprofessional lawyer I have ever dealt with. He lacks knowledge and integrity. Joe's office is also completely worthless, telling me they would have him call me back as soon as possible and never receive a single call back. A client who pays $3500 should not be treated this way..
