Adam Edward Urbanczyk

Adam’s practice is focused on a relatively-narrow variety of civil matters including patent and trademark prosecution, copyright registration, trade secret protection, IP licensing, and startup and generalized IP/commercial transactional and litigation efforts. Adam represents sole-proprietors, startups, and established businesses throughout Illinois and, in some capacities, across the country.

During law school, Adam was a clerk at Augustine, Kern, & Levens, Ltd. where his efforts were focused on researching state dental and medical licensing requirements, state agency immunity from antitrust claims, and the vulnerability of alternative medicine practitioners to sanctions levied by sate medical boards, all on a national basis.

Before and after leaving Augustine Kern & Levens, Ltd., and before forming Au, LLC, Adam was a clerk, and then associate, at Saper Law Offices, LLC. While at Saper, Adam handled IP, commercial, and social media-related litigation matters, which included commercial contract disputes, internet defamation cases, copyright and trademark infringement claims, and various business disputes.

Prior to entering law school, Adam worked as a systems engineer for General Dynamics Land Systems.
