Paid him a $1500 retainer to help with a bill that went into collections. Never showed up to the scheduled hearing date and would not answer the phone. Found out a few days later he was out of town or something with his family. Ended up settling the case myself and also never received a refund for th...e unused retainer funds.

Joe Olstein was a BLESSING for me! He knew what to do for me!! Without putting my personal info out there, I was in a very devastating financial situation and nowhere to turn. Joe has good communication skills, explains things, is organized, returns emails and phone calls. He’s an excellent Bankruptcy attorney and represented me perfect in my opinion. I would highly recommend Joe Olstein for any of his services because he’s on top of the game, is trustworthy and not one of those cold hearted attorney’s after you give them your retainer fee you have to chase after them!

I hired him for $500 to handle my debt collection case. He was responsive at first, but after a while, he stopped responding. I have attempted to call him a number of times just to get an update on my case, and he never returns my call, no matter what time of the day I call. I have also tried to call... on Saturdays. I leave voicemails each time, and he refuses to contact me back. I feel that is very unprofessional, seeing as how I paid him to represent me. Even if he just calls back to say that there are no updates, I would appreciate that. I have not spoken to him since November 2017, and I have been getting court correspondence in the mail lately. I was attempting to contact him to see what it means, but he is unresponsive to my outreach. I now have to explore other options regarding my collections case. I definitely would not recommend him following the experience I’ve had with him.

Joseph helped me through the process of buying my first condo and was so helpful. Not knowing anything about buying a condo and not having anyone near by to help me; Joseph was knowledgeable and responsive with all the many questions. He helped make what could have been a scary process much smoother ...and a wonderful experience.
