This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
Censure means the attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
Rusty’s comment: “I take no shame in standing up for what is right. I made the mistake of taking on the Cook County political machine by filing over 50,000 residential tax appeals. The powers that be did not like the fact that my firm was able to achieve large tax bill reductions on behalf of the many Chicago homeowners. Charges filed with the state were politically motivated in my opinion. I fought them for quite some time but the expense to continue was enormous and thus I agreed to a censure in one case.”
