Paul was referred to me by a co-worker, so I assumed better of him. He immediately nullified an order of protection that I had in place for my family's protection after an abusive relationship and serious harassment and stalking issues. He coerced me into believing that it was all I could do to sta...y in good graces with a judge that wasn't even presiding over my case. He consistently discouraged me from pursuing what my own child was asking, begging me for throughout. He belittled us based on my income level, calling us a low income case. How degrading! From there my ex proceeded to habitually violate the new mutual order, habitually. He harassed us by phone, by text, and in person. He showed up at my mother's funeral after an 8 month bout with cancer, although he was NOT supposed to. He pulled a knife out while riding public transportation with my son sitting right next to him. Paul was alerted of these problems all along the way. Paul did nothing to protect my son or pursue my family's peace of mind or best interests. He did not solve any issues or problems, save for prolonging the case with status after status. Paul works for the judge, not the client in my opinion. Everything he suggested was to appease the judge. He never pursued or even placed a child support order as he promised. He didn't have time to discuss any court proceedings. He gave one free consultation over the phone, initially. During that phone consult, he hemmed and hawed about how he wouldn't be sure he'd even take my case, as he didn't know if it was worth it to him. He did NOT give me his phone number, only the office number. He would let me know after he came back from Cuba. Paul said he would have my ex cover court and legal fees, along with the fee to initiate court supervised communication. He didn't. I didn't have much faith in where any of this was going after he demanded his retainer paid with zero initial action. Paul spoke with my ex over the phone-- even though he had an attorney. He accepted HIS phone calls and spoke with him about the case. Paul never followed through with anything he promised. In fact, he made not one attempt to pursue any good idea he presented. He never accepted any of mine. He also granted me one 1/2 hour of his time to initiate my own financial affidavit. Then hustled me out of his office. After that was accomplished, he proceeded to email a former co-worker of mine MY affidavit. She had called me at work to warn me, as he was not answering their calls either. His secretary would answer the phone, take a message and never would anything be addressed. Paul didn't get us anywhere but in the hole during the most difficult time in our family life. We regret initiating any contact with this lawyer. Waste.

Child Support case

I agree that he lacks communication with his clients. I honestly don't know if he received any of his messages I would leave to his secretary. I was considering of hiring him again but no one returned my call. I also feel like he didn't take my child support case seriously. Great disappointment............ So now I must search for a new lawyer.

"I would recommend Paul to anyone in need of a lawyer in a family law matter. In addition to being an extremely knowledgeable and talented attorney, Paul is tenacious and champions his clients' causes like few other attorneys I know. Simply put, Paul does not stop working for his clients, and, when necessary, he does not stop fighting. I don't think you can go wrong if you hire Paul."
