“Brian did a remarkable job helping me with a business transfer project in a very short time window. Brian moved quickly and was great at communicating to me each step of the way. I trust Brian with all of my legal concerns and look forward to working together for many years to come.”
As a lawyer practicing in a different field than Brian, it is nice to know I have someone I trust to provide me and my family with well thought out estate planning advice. Brian and his firm have years of experience in this field and are well versed in the intricacies of wills, trusts and wealth transfers. Because of the excellent advice Brian has provided to me and my family, I have referred him to several other friends and business associates who share my sentiments about the work he has done for them and their families. If you are concerned with the financial future of you and your family, I would recommend you contact Brian Jones to help you with your estate planning needs.
Brian K. Jones left his own firm in 2012 to join Harrison & Held, LLP as a Partner and to Co-Chair the firm’s family office practice. His practice is centered on estate planning and administration and includes business succession planning and real estate transactions. He is involved with the Wills For Heroes Foundation – which provides free estate plans to first responders every month during the “Bar year” – and volunteers his time with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois. He is a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and remains closely involved with the organization.
Brian received his B.A. from Eastern Illinois University in 2000. He was a four year letterman in football, a member of the Dean’s List, and was recognized as a Merit Scholar Athlete in 1999 and 2000. He received his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 2006, where he was a member of the Dean’s List.

Estate Planning and Family Office Attorney
I trust Brian to keep all of the family affairs in order - from advising on complex estate planning issues, to preparing and updating our important documents, to assisting me with the oversight and management of my financial professionals, to planning for retirement. From beginning to end, I rely on him to advise me on nearly all of the life events and transactions I encounter. He effectively assisted me with the formation - and beneficial tax planning - of my first business entity earlier this year.
