Gene put up with my impatience and the total lack of speed from Kane County courthouse. Got the job done for me and an old misdemeanor case is now sealed and away from background checks etc. I had hired a legal professional before Gene but they were totally inept. I recently applied for a city business license which was denied due to my criminal history. I located Mr. Gene Hook through google and noticed he had great reviews. I then reached out to him, explained my situation and what I was facing. He immediately scheduled a time to meet so that he could rev...iew the documents including the denial letter. At that point he explained the process to me, what I would need to do in order to be deemed "rehabilitated" and exactly what the city of Chicago would be looking for. Gene was very straight forward and honest. At that point I decided to secure him as my attorney at a very reasonable price. I appreciated that he took the "wheel" without me having to hound him. He called the city prosecutor who was over my case, found out what needed to be done, the dates and times, got copies of all documents and immediately emailed them to me. Before my case he reviewed my letters of recommendation I would be providing to the city as well as my personal statement. He then assisted me in revising my statement so that it would be more appealing. I met him again at his office where he coached me through a series of questions before my hearing. Needless to say shortly after my hearing I received my license from the city of Chicago. I would highly recommend Gene and would definitely use him again!

I called Gene a couple months ago regarding a criminal record expungement case. I told Gene about my current situation and the fact that I live in California. Gene made it possible so that he could show up in court for me. I trusted he would get the job done and just the other day he calls and tells... me I no longer have a criminal record.
