The benefit is that your record will be expunged sooner. The expungment does matter to immigration.

It means you have no conviction, but if you want it off your record you will have to get it expunged.

They can offer you whatever they want to. Unusual offer -- you should try a Rule 402 with the judge and see if you do better.
