To my clients I offer a diversity of experience/success managing multimillion-dollar litigation and driving major transactions. My keen business judgment has been developed through my prior business experience as well as my litigation experience. I have a deep understanding of how to properly structure contracts, and I am able to effectively counsel my clients and draft and negotiate these transactions with a preventive mind-set.

I have extensive experience in a variety of complex civil litigation with a principal focus on business and tort issues. I have worked for companies in a variety of industries, particularly construction, real estate, retail, transportation, insurance, utility, food and beverage, and health care.

I also serve as outside general counsel to many businesses, guiding clients on a wide range of business matters, including reviewing and understanding contracts, identifying potential liabilities, understanding and abiding by corporate compliance programs, and properly handling investigations. My accomplishments include:
➢ Representing a liquor importation and distribution company in connection with corporate formation, compliance with federal and state regulations, trademark registration and drafting sale-related contracts.
➢ Representing a private equity firm in a $2M+ joint venture for the acquisition of an industrial facility with subsurface petroleum contamination involving complex environmental and existing tenant issues.
➢ Negotiating a favorable settlement for former executives of an industrial supply company concerning breach of a non-compete agreement and misappropriation of trade secrets, enabling them to continue operating their new company.
➢ Reaching a favorable settlement for a utility company against a construction company for extensive damages to underground utilities.
➢ Auditing a prominent law firm’s client billing in a series of catastrophic injury cases, resulting in a recommendation to reduce nearly $10M in billing by 30%.
