general information - nothing special

I paid $150 for consultations and he did not tell me anything new, just general information which already read in USCIS. I came to learn a possible way to go with my immigration case and he said that it's impossible. He'd like to take just easy cases, (such as if a US citizen wants to get green c...ard his parents or if someone marries with US citizens ) which everybody can do without the lawyer. I regret that I paid him for nothing.

I respect the opinion of this individual, but there aren't always solutions to every problem. I think it is my ethical duty to tell clients what is possible within the limitations of the law, the likelihood of success, and the risks involved in a particular process. In a consultation, we explore what is possible and what is restricted by the law. Occasionally, there isn't a good solution or the law does not allow for any solution. The notion that I take just easy cases is not something I would say to a client. The fact is I like more complex cases and I enjoy challenging what I consider to be DHS errors. I also like to challenge DHS decisions that are not consistent with the law or that are not rationally based. My ultimate goal is always to provide the best result to a client whether it is a consultation, a simple case or a complex one.

Do not hire this lawyer!

My husband and I met with Mr. Davidson about 4 months ago, heard he was a good lawyer and handled difficult cases successfully so we made an appointment to meet.We talked he said this was a easy case so he gave us a list of things he needed to be sent to him for the case. I got the information as s...oon as possible. He only returned one of my emails and after that never heard from him. I tried to email him another time and again no response. Im assuming he didnt think we had the money to pay him because of our age and also kept asking about our place of employment etc. if someone hires you its obvious they have the money to pay!!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
