I respect the opinion of this individual, but there aren't always solutions to every problem. I think it is my ethical duty to tell clients what is possible within the limitations of the law, the likelihood of success, and the risks involved in a particular process. In a consultation, we explore what is possible and what is restricted by the law. Occasionally, there isn't a good solution or the law does not allow for any solution. The notion that I take just easy cases is not something I would say to a client. The fact is I like more complex cases and I enjoy challenging what I consider to be DHS errors. I also like to challenge DHS decisions that are not consistent with the law or that are not rationally based. My ultimate goal is always to provide the best result to a client whether it is a consultation, a simple case or a complex one.
